3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft, at GLBC. Rats. I didnít take many notes on this because I thought Iíd already rated this. But anyway: A light hoppy smell, unusual to find in a dark beer. This was toward the end of my sampler tray, there was still a thin head that clung lacily to the glass. Roasts are just moderate, to keep this very smooth. Excellent beer to be trying on draft!

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
The body is shades of sasparilla with a nice tan-browned head. The nose is moderately roasty with nuances of chocolate and coffee. Similarly, the body has a good balance to it and an easygoing roastiness made up of equal parts coffee and chocolate character. A solid porter.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Sampled at GABF 2015. In the tasting glass brown with a tan head. Nose of roasted malts, chocolate and dark ripe fruit. Some citrus as well. Medium plus body. Flavor is dominate by chocolate and coffee, but the fruit and hops plus the bitter finish make for a solid and really great tasting porter. I liked this one a lot.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A tulip glass showing half a finger of latte colored foam and coffee brown center.
The nose shows lightly roasted malts with a light vanilla in the background coming together to show an adzuki-like sweetness.
The palate is light bodied and moderately carbonated but very foamy. Light flavors of roasted yet sweet adzuiki light malts. Light coffee on the finish and a good coffee flavor on the linger. Overall, simple yet tasty.
