On draft at scion restaurant in dc. Pours a cloudy copper with an off white head. Subtle peach aroma. Grassy hop flavors finishing with some bitterness.

Draft. Cloudy golden yellow color, small white head, solid lacing. Aroma of smouldering fruit and bread dough. Taste is full bodied candied fruit with a burned edge. Very nice.

draft at Coles, Buffalo NY. Lighter copper orange pour. Touch of bonfire smoke in the aroma. Citrusy bitterness with hint of smoke in the flavor. Nice hop flavor, fresh, smoke adds aunique flavor. I like it

Location/Date:Draft on August 14th at Smoke & Barrel’s Great Lakes XMas in August event.
Appearance: Pours a cloudy orange copper.
Aroma: Aroma is of faint smoke.
Taste: Medium bitterness, some malt balance, some smoke.
Palate: Medium body, quick finish.
Summary: A really enjoyable APA with some smoke undertones, my only fault with it is the aroma isn’t very strong.

from a growler courtesy of Jill, this is a smoke ale rather than an APA in my opinion, the strong taste of smoked ham (with the brown sugar) really works here, if you’re expecting it... no real hop presences here to me.

Draft at Sugar Maple. Orange-brown, unfiltered. Smoky, but relatively balanced. Medium bodied, well executed. Mild hop balance. The smoke shines, but it remains drinkable. Well done, true to style despite the obvious differences.

Cask at the brewpub. Orange pour with a white head. Smokey, ham, and some biscuity malt to go along with soft hop presence. Good stuff.

Good spicy flavor with smooth finish. Drank on cask. Aftertaste of pepper gives a nice finish. Good orange cloudy color and right amount of bitter aftertaste.

On tap at brewpub pours brownish orange with just a little white head. Smells of smoke, ham and some grainy bread. Taste smoke, bacon, ham, grain and a nice citrus hop profile. Light to medium on the palate and it finishes with a great citrus hops.
