3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 ADesenberg (304) - Ohio, USA - MAR 4, 2013
draft: spicy... but floral. It’s nice, a solid grand cru, but nothing that really blows me out of the water. Solid.

Draft at the brewery. Seemed like a witbier crossed with a Belgian ale and then someone amped up the alcohol a touch. Good if not remarkable.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 pantanap (3155) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 19, 2012
On tap at the source... Pours fairly similar to burning river, caramel orange brown and topped a soapy white head... Aroma of sweet crystal malt and Belgian yeast, dried fruit to pair up with the aforementioned. Sweet... Flavors are banana with sweet yeastiness and pale malt throughout. Medium bodied with medium level of carbonation. Not bad but not my style.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 nuplastikk (3289) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 21, 2012
Draft at Dexters. Filtered looking orange-tan. Thin, oily white head. Hmm..this one is different. Creamy big Golden Ale, reminds me of Bier De Corsaire. Creamy, lots of smooth yeast notes. Could benefit form a more Belgian effervescence, as it is it’s a little undercarbonated. Orange-fruity yeast tones, all laced with alcohol and a faint Syrian-like bitterness. Solid beer, well done.

Tap. Slightly hazy light orange with a thin white head. Orangey, light grapes, fruit, and slight yeast in the aroma. Bit of a yeasty finish, light fruits, grass, and chamomille. Feels a bit boozy and warming with a medium body with soft carbonation.

This poured a hazy orange color with a a white head. Aroma was of strong belgian spice, aka coriander and orange peel, some yeast, and sweet candy sugar. Flavor was dominated with spice, not overly sweet like some belgians, and the alcohol is hidden very well too. Good example of the style.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 JaBier (3756) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - APR 6, 2010
Growler brought back by a friend. Pours a hazy gold with a medium off-white head. Banana and clove in the nose, but there is a peppery coriander characteristic that helps to mute those other notes along with some sweet malt. Peppery coriander flavor with sweet malt and a dry bitter finish. I didn’t really pick up on the orange, but still pretty good for a style I typically don’t go for.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 FROTHINGSLOSH (3989) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 4, 2009
Sampled on draft at Smokin Joes this beer poured a dark amber color with a medium sized yellow-white head. The aroma was sugary, fruity and a bit boozy. The flavor was dryish, tangy and yeasty with a note of candied fruit. Boozy yet again on the taste and especially on the sharp and tangy finish. Ok.
