Tap. Slightly hazy light orange with a thin white head. Orangey, light grapes, fruit, and slight yeast in the aroma. Bit of a yeasty finish, light fruits, grass, and chamomille. Feels a bit boozy and warming with a medium body with soft carbonation.

This poured a hazy orange color with a a white head. Aroma was of strong belgian spice, aka coriander and orange peel, some yeast, and sweet candy sugar. Flavor was dominated with spice, not overly sweet like some belgians, and the alcohol is hidden very well too. Good example of the style.

Growler brought back by a friend. Pours a hazy gold with a medium off-white head. Banana and clove in the nose, but there is a peppery coriander characteristic that helps to mute those other notes along with some sweet malt. Peppery coriander flavor with sweet malt and a dry bitter finish. I didn’t really pick up on the orange, but still pretty good for a style I typically don’t go for.

Sampled on draft at Smokin Joes this beer poured a dark amber color with a medium sized yellow-white head. The aroma was sugary, fruity and a bit boozy. The flavor was dryish, tangy and yeasty with a note of candied fruit. Boozy yet again on the taste and especially on the sharp and tangy finish. Ok.

Aroma of sweet candy sugar and molasses with some belgian yeasty spices. Taste is smooth with some earthy spices and bread and a good amount of carbonation. Not bad.

Approximately 4 oz. pour, on tap at the brewpub in Ohio City on 6-13-08. Pours a cloudy, orange-tinted brass. Small to moderate amount of creamy, off-white head. Good lacing. Sweet aroma features orange and lemon scents. Buttery, tart taste. Dry hops surprisingly noticeable. Full body. Quite good overall.

On tap at the brewpub. Poured a deep cloudy golden with a thin white head. Smells like a wit beer and amazingly tasted like a wit beer. Really is just like Holy Moses except a bit stronger and without the slight camomile hint. I can’t imagine why Great Lakes is calling this their Grand Cru.
