Great Lakes Holy Moses White Ale

Poured a very hazy, bright yellow. Aroma is muted, but there are some pepper, citrus and grainy notes. I don’t get much of the chamomile. Flavor is more of the same. Not my thing.

Pours foggy whitish yellow, with white head as to be expected. Aroma is citrus spice and some pepper. Flavor is very clean and smooth, mostly wheat with the fruit bringing up the rear. Not my favorite style by any means but a very drinkable beer.

Poured a hazy white / gold body with a small and lilty white head that left some nice lacing. Typical witbeir aroma of baby wipes. Taste was light lemon, a stronger orange peel and slight wheat on the tail end. Aftertaste was slightly sour but good. Pretty much your average wit.

Bottle. Please enjoy by: 04/27/08. A hazy gold pour with tons of little floaties and a smallish off-white head on top. Lemons, cloves and hints of pepper in the light, wheaty aroma. Medium to thin-bodied. Tastes clean and wheaty with a good bit of lemons, zesty orange rinds, spices and yeastiness throughout. Finishes with some pepper and more hoppiness than the average witbier.

pours a clouded golden yellow with a finger of stark white head. Aroma of spice and citrus. Interesting taste, with clove and lemon appearing throughout, though its a very light taste. A refreshing sweet beer with a slightly bitter aftertaste.

12 oz. bottle. Poured hazy gold with fine yeasty sediment floating throughout the beer. Splotches of white lacing. Flavor of citrus and coriander. Medium body.

Good white head that stayed awhile. Aroma of spices and lemon. Good mix of citrus, yeast and spices. A fuller spice flavor as it warmed. I can’t wait to have this again on a warm summer night next time.
