NIce aroma, spice, wheat and orange peel, quite fragrant. Flavor comes up a bit short, though. Lightly bitter, almost astringent, with some herbal notes. Lighter body. Nice but the flavor lacks. If that came through better we’d have an excellent wit on our hands here. JMerritt (1315), Macomb, Illinois, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Aug 9, 2005 Medium golden with lots of suspended yeast particles. Head is white, frothy, and massive with good staying power. Aroma is heavy on the orange and lemon peel with creamy banana and some subdued nutmeg and coriander. Very spicy flavor, coriander really pops, along with lemongrass, wheat, rye and biscuity malts. Mouthfeel is a little too carbonated for my tastes, and finish is slightly sour (wet grains, straw). Otherwise, quite a delicious beer. Braudog (3752), Dayton, Ohio, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 6, 2005 Appealing light sunshiney yellow with a stick white head. Fruity and spicy nose and the flavor is even spicier ... heavy corriander, cinnamon and maybe even some nutmeg. One of the more robustly flavored beers I’ve had in the style. Enjoyable. The banana taste is subdued, thank goodness, leaving a nice coriander wit taste. Finish picks up with some lemonade and bitter European hops. giventofly (10), Cleveland, Ohio, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 5, 2005 I think that this beer is overspiced. The first 1/3 of the bottle, I almost dumped it out. Almost. After I adjusted to the taste, it kinda grew on me, and I begain to enjoy it. The second Bottle was quite enjoyable, and I will purchase this one again. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 31, 2005 Cloudy pale yelllow in color. Dulled chamomile, coriander and orange peel in the aroma, with a lack of honey, which I have grown to expect in Belgian white beer. Fresh spicing and floral hop flavors, with a light hint of butter toffee and caramel. A pretty nice white beer overall, though nothing special. Ernest (4483), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 31, 2005 Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly lasting. Body is hazy medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), with notes of coriander, lemon peel, flowers. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Light body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Very thin and lightly flavored in the mouth, but sports a neat aroma. Murphy (1759), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA
