Beerlando (2287), Orlando, Florida, USA Sep 8, 2008 Pours a lightly hazy, golden orange color with a small, frothy, snow white head. Delicate sheets of lacing coat the glass. Aromas of substantial wheat malts and hints of sweet caramel are spiced with fresh orange peel, spicy ginger, lemongrass hops, and a light smattering of coriander. Flavors are really well integrated and crisp. The lightly sweet, almost neutral wheat background provides a nice backdrop for the candied orange peel and lemony hops to do their thing. A touch of banana lends fruity depth. Finishes as clean as can be, without any of the annoying coriander aftertaste that is common in the style. The body is substantial for the style, well carbonated, and incredibly easy to put away. This is a really nice little summertime Wit. Nice session brew. cmillward (419), Orlando, Florida, USA Sep 6, 2008 Bottle. Pours a hazy yellow with a small white head. On the nose, wheat, coriander, cloves and some banana. The flavor is really a step down from the nose. Grainy, too much coriander, bitter, vegetal, bad herbal aftertaste. Feels a little too heavy for a wit, needs more carbonation. I was a little disappointed in this after having some other great beers from GL. joekinty (263), rockledge, Florida, USA Sep 5, 2008 not too shabby could be better holy moses split the sea and this beer commemerates that shame on you HighlanderOne (538), Somewherein, New Jersey, USA Aug 23, 2008 Poured from bottle. Herb and spice in aroma. Persistent white head, cloudy gold. Very good spice mix with the malts. Banana, pepper and vanilla notes. Very drinkable. Spicy finish. One of the better American made Belgian whites beerchugger (286), Colorado, USA Aug 23, 2008 Updated: Apr 29, 2009Pours a very pale yellow color. A little head forms and some lacing as well. A rather attractive beer I must say. The spices are most definitely notable. The coriander is perhaps the most noticeable of the spices. Chamomile is present as well. This beer is brewed well. sleestak (180), Williamston, Michigan, USA Aug 20, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours like liquid sunshine with a lovely white cap of lacy foam. Smell is Wit 101 with grass, spice and citrus. Flavor, however, demonstrates nothing to separate it from its brethren. Notes of orange and spice, but there’s something medicine-y in the finish that detracts from the experience. Decent enough, but doesn’t live up to the other fine beers in the GLBC brewing portfolio. grimreeser (795), Minnesota, USA Aug 20, 2008 Pours a Cloudy light gold with a decent head. Aroma of citrus, spicy, wheat. Solid flavor. AskForJenny (627), Ontario, New York, USA Aug 12, 2008 12oz - Pours the customary yellow gold with the requisite internal glow. White head lasts and gives nice lacing. Yeast and spice on nose. Lightly citrus on front, malt in middle with a sweet finish. The finish is distracting.
