zootfinster (158), Chicago, Illinois, USA May 13, 2008 Witbeir is generally not one of my favorites but I really enjoyed this one. Poured a hazy yellow. Medium body with a grainy fruity taste. A really nice beer.
wheelz843 (34), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA Oct 9, 2008 bottle. pours a straw yellow with thin white head. ha a very smooth wheat taste with a very nice finish. probably the best ale ive had..... so far. Rastacouere (5409), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Oct 7, 2008 Objectively speaking:
12oz of solid, spicy, hoppy witbier, bought at Bello Vino in Ann Arbor.
I like:
Quite aromatic witbier. Scintillating golden hue. More hops than most which gives an impression of freshness. Herbal, floral finish accompanies the soft coriander and tea-like nuances. Fruity palate never ventures overly in acidity, staying cerealic and wheaty, but more of in the texture than actual flavours. Medium-bodied, leafy, grainy, milky coriander fits here better than in most because it’s not lemon juice and actually shows hop guts.
I dislike:
Quickly fading white head. JJSuds (8), USA does not count Sep 25, 2008 Not very striking or impressive. Unappealingly thin palate. Very light coriander and hardly and orange in the flavor. sebletitje (372), Tampa, Florida, USA Sep 24, 2008 Pours clear golden, white head.
Aroma is grainy, hoppy with spices.
Taste, light chamomille aftertaste, very sweet beer. Robust spicy notes, sweet sugar. Overall good presence of grains, smoothness of the mix of spices and herb (chamomille). Acknud (608), Morganfield, Kentucky, USA Sep 24, 2008 Very nice white. Spicy, lively on the tongue, moderately carbonated, pretty in the glass. Taste is of coriander, bananas and other floral notes.
