Naka (423), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 20, 2008 Pours a clear pale gold color. Nose has some coriander and other spice to the aroma. Very sweet. The flavor doesn’t overpower with the sweetness. Has a fruity blueberry coriander spice to it. Not really a whole lot of body. I’m not a huge fan of this style, but this was decent.
JJSuds (8), USA does not count Sep 25, 2008 Not very striking or impressive. Unappealingly thin palate. Very light coriander and hardly and orange in the flavor. sebletitje (362), Tampa, Florida, USA Sep 24, 2008 Pours clear golden, white head.
Aroma is grainy, hoppy with spices.
Taste, light chamomille aftertaste, very sweet beer. Robust spicy notes, sweet sugar. Overall good presence of grains, smoothness of the mix of spices and herb (chamomille). Acknud (607), Morganfield, Kentucky, USA Sep 24, 2008 Very nice white. Spicy, lively on the tongue, moderately carbonated, pretty in the glass. Taste is of coriander, bananas and other floral notes. taalhiker (111), Dayton, Ohio, USA Sep 23, 2008 From bottle. Part of May beer tasting event. Pours cloudy golden color. Aroma is heavy on herbs and spice Banana and vanilla notes. Strong finish. Excellent American witbier. yesyouam (366), Fairport, New York, USA Sep 17, 2008 Great Lakes Holy Moses White Ale is a hazy, light golden ale that’s highly sparkling. It has a small white head that fades quickly. The aroma is of lemon and wheat, with just a hint of banana bread. It smells like a Wit should. It has a light, maybe medium-light, body with a crisp, clean finish. It has a lemony flavor with a fruity wheat note. The finish is lightly bitter and it’s well balanced. It has a clean taste-- a little hoppier than most Wits I’ve had. It tastes like there may be Fuggles in there.
