frylock (952), Buffalo, New York, USA Jul 17, 2008 Toasty cereal malt aroma with some underlying honey. Malt sweetness followed by a dry spicy hop flavor, some melon and a strange plastic like flavor are also present. This isn’t terrible, but does not even come close to the original dortmunder gold
KAggie97 (1924), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA Oct 13, 2008 Bottle from lb4lb. Thanks, Deniz! Pours a beautiflully sappy thin amber with a nice head of slight rust. Aroma is garbage disposal vegetable with a touch of cinnamon malt. Taste is earthy butterscotch, with a hint of caramel in the finish. Was not expecting this level of sweetness. Alcohol is barely noticeable, if at all. Nice, thick mouthfeel. Stinks but tastes pretty good. I’d take this to a party. yespr (6943), Copenhagen O, Denmark Oct 12, 2008 12 fl oz bottle, courtesy of Papsoe. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Smooth citrusy hops aroma. Flavour is sweet malty yet also quite fruity on the hops side. Light fruity finish with a nice caramel malt base. Nicely balanced and not too sweet. kp (6300), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Oct 12, 2008 Name: Imperial Dortmunder

unclemattie (1662), Georgia, USA Oct 11, 2008 12oz bottle. deep golden orange color. thin white head. Aroma of straw, honey, and wheat. Flavor is sweet malt. very sweet, very balanced. Hops are somewhat earthy . A very well balanced beer. ATLBeerDog (233), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Oct 11, 2008 From a 12 ounce bottle - Pours a clear pale reddish/yellow with below average carbonation, and slight lacing. The aroma is dominated sweet malts and mild piney hops. First sip is surprisingly hoppy with not much else going on. A light malt backbone is welcomed. Some hoppy bitterness is present but on a whole this is a big disappointment.
