This was a great beer; I drank a few on the day they released the 4-pack. Very good; it was well worth the money.

G: Poured into my new Mikasa pilsner glass--damn that glassware was hard to find. I recommend the set to everyone, though: pilsner, weizen, tulip, and chalice, and all very well-crafted.
A: A very light copper with a great rush of carbonation bubbles that persist throughout the drink. Massive white head with an absolutely amazing amount of lacing as it goes down.
S: Some earthy type grains to go along with a nice, faint hop presence and an ever-so-slight sweetness.
T: Definitely an imperial dortmunder. Their standard dort. is a thing of beauty, and this is quite good as well. Some grassy sweetness goes along with faint noble hops.
M: Nicely crisp and smooth with good carbonation. Excellent.
D: Exceedingly drinkable. This is some fantastic stuff. They’ve made their already-outstanding dortmunder offering even better.

Bottle pours a lightly hazy orange with golden notes and a medium sized creamy off white head that laced. Aroma of lightly toasted cereal grains, malt sweetness, fresh noble hops, honey and lightly bready. Flavor of a sweet cereal grain sweetness, light citrus, noble hops and lots if em. I like their dortmunder and this is a nice imp version of it.

Great malty nose, and some sweet bread. Some nice noble hops, the alcohol is present, but is welcome. A great example of the style. Excellent beer.

Clear amber with fair, creamy beige head / Nose of spun sugar and corn / Medium body with syrupy, sweet malts subduing good, dry hops and the finish / Floral flavors of burnt sugar, honey, banana, and toasted grain / What I assume is a fine example of the style.

Received in trade from Prototypic, thanks for the opportunity!
Pours a nearly clear golden amber color with a fluffy white head that dissipates quickly. Smells of berries, grassy hops, a hint of diacetyl. Pleasant malt forward smell. Taste is a bit sweet with lots of fruit on the tongue. Lots of malt, a little bit of alcohol and some grass in there as well. Body is medium to thick, mouthfeel is creamy and maybe a little sticky, carbonation is crisp. This is a great malt forward brew, I wish I could have tried it a bit fresher as I wonder if the hops were more pronounced.

A little pricey for what it is aroma is toast and slight honey some spiceness alittle alchohol and hops in the nose not much more complex than regular dortmunder it is dortmunder gold on steroids good but in my opinion could be better woth a try but a little steep at 9.99 a four pack

Dark gold color with small diminishing white head and little lacing. Dortmunder is good, but Imperial Dortmunder is much better. Everything is stronger, from its great malty flavor to its sweet hops. Very drinkable

I’m going against the grain, but I quite liked this one. It pours to a dark golden amber/copper body with a thin white head. Nice glowing vibrancy. The aroma is doughy and hearty breads with a nice subtle leaves and noble hops. The flavor has an intensely caramelized bread dough, cookies, and subtle bitter grassy hops. Nice malt profile. Comes off as having a nutmeg or mace. Creamy light bitter palate is a bit too carbonated and too bitter. Awesome beer, however.
