4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 fiver29 (1015) - Cleveland, USA - SEP 8, 2010
On tap at the brewpub and its called Jabberwocky. Bartender said no growlers, no samples, he said even employees are not allowed to sample this beer because there was such a limited amount. A 1/6 barrel will be tapped each Tuesday at 5 PM this month he said. Pour into a tulip glass was a murky dark amber color with light tan head. Aroma was great. Nutty almonds, oak, funk, cherry. Medium mouthfeel with way too much carbonation for my liking for this style. Its carbonated right for a tripel, not a sour. Flavor was aggressive sherry and oak flavors upfront, leading into a nutty almond backbone with toffee caramel and cherry layered in, then finished with a slight sour note from the bugs. Very woody, acidic, and simply wonderful. Just a great beer.
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 kramer (3458) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 15, 2011
Tap, BCTC 2010. Pours a murky copper orange body with a small wispy white head. The nose is fairly alcoholic, smells of bourbon possibly? Some light Belgian Triple yeastiness, lots of cereal grains, and touches of oak and light spice. The flavor comes across as a bourbon barrel Triple much more than anything that ought to have Lambic in the name. Rather thick and overly sweet with fizzy carbonation. Nothing lambic about this one at all. Not a whole lot of ’wildness’ to this even.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 BuckeyeSammy (514) - Cleveland, Ohio, USA - SEP 21, 2010
Thanks Glaze for this one. Birthday at the brewery with the boys. Sweet, unbalanced beer.. Served at the brewery on Tuesdays in September. Hazy auburn color, little to no head. Palate is all over the place. The best part of this one is the carbonation profile. Caramel, malt, sour yeast, heavy alcohol present on the back end.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 deyholla (3533) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 12, 2010
On tap. Poured a very cloudy orange with a gold hue and white head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma had a note of burnt graham cracker crust with some light fruits, funk and just a bit of sourness. Flavor had the same graham cracker note with some nutmeg, vanilla and spent grain notes. Really didn’t pick up any sour notes on the tongue.

Pouring from their booth at BCTC. Pours a light brown, hazy, with a thin beige head. Nutty acetone, cinnamon sticks, toast. Nutty and spicy, rather weird. Tart malt. Long gross buttery bitterness.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 argo0 (9226) - Washington DC, USA - AUG 7, 2010
BCTC, draft. Small off-white head atop murky amber body. Aroma is moderately sweet, tart, funky, raspberry/cherry, caramel/toffee, light alcohol. Taste is moderately sweet, caramel/toffee, raspberry, some cherry, light tart, alcohol. Medium body, lightly sticky, acidic. Not bad, but kind of all over the place.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 swoopjones (3428) - Buffalo, New York, USA - AUG 5, 2010
BCTC 2010, according to rep called Jabberwacky. pours a murky, muddy bronze brown. Oak, rich malts, touch of vanilla, light raspberry tartness. Rich barleywine richness, oak up front followed up by acidic tartness, light berry, vanila & oak lingers a bit. Oak is pretty agressive

[BCTC 2010] Hazy amber color with a small, white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of green apple, vinegar, leather, wood, and light vanilla. Taste of acid, vinegar, apple, wood, and a lingering sour finish.
