On tap at Winking Lizard Bethel. Copper orange pour. Big foamy white head and spotty stick. Aroma citrus and caramel malt. Tastes more on the citrus side, with a little tea vibe. Creamy medium pale. Good. 7.4

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
(bottle) Pours a deep golden complexion with diminishing head. Hop aroma struggles to compete with malt. The flavor is predominantly resin hops and alcohol with some malt balance. Sort of a DIPA on the cheap.

Ok double IPA here. I expected better from the high reviews. Hoppy but not in the way that gets you in the back of your throat. The 9.1% alc is really evident and hides some of the flavors I love from a double.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Clear orange-colored body, medium to thin white head and spotty lacing. Boozy with some sweet pale malts, grapefruit, pineapple, and resin. Medium bodied with smooth carbonation. Lingering sweetness and assertive bitterness in the finish. A bit unwieldy.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
[Tap] Clear and bright orange pour. Very little head and surprisingly low carbonation level. Heavy and bitter aroma of pine and citrus. Tasting notes include resin, sweet orange peel, booze and a residual sticky sweetness. Starts surprisingly malty before transitioning to a harsh bitterness. Syrupy consistency thanks to low carbonation. If the balance was tweaked a bit, this would be even better.

Pours gold with white head and nice lacing. I’m disappointed in the lack of a hop forward aroma. Only slight lemon. Taste is much, much better. Loaded with hops bitterness. Citrus, pine, sweet booze, and some spice.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 4/20
Aroma: Wheat and booze. No real hop aroma
Appearance: Clear amber.
Taste: Apples, wheat , booze.
Palate: Bitter but not overpowering.
Overall: Definitely not worthy of a 99 rating just like most beers on the internet. It’s a good DIPA, but i would not go out of my way to find it or buy it again.
