Bottle from NE Ohio. Took back home to FL. Tulip. Yellow-orange and very cloudy pour. Head was white, disappeared quickly. Good random lacing. Aroma slightly light but mostly resin and citrus. Taste is very well balanced with the pine resin and citrus hops dominant. However the malt balances well and it doesn’t seem like a 9.1%. Very bitter finish. Great medium body with medium carb. Very well done double IPA.

Aroma is fruit, mild/medium sweetness and citrus/pine. The flavor is fruit, citrus, very light grapefruit and a bitter/tart finish.

Cloudy orange with an off-white/yellowish head. Aroma is very citrus fruity and floral. Taste is the same, citrus fruit and hoppy bitterness, but sweeter/malty up front. Pretty good stuff.

Pours golden with off white head. Smells of citrus, syrupy hops. Bitter sweet citrus flavor with a slight sour hint. Good.

Mon palais commençais à être épuisé mais je trouvais l’amertume vraiment agréable par rapport à l’éventail des saveurs de houblons floraux, d’agrumes et de pin. Rien de spectaculaire mais une buvabilité intéressante.

Bottle shared at a tasting at Ariel’s place. Slightly hazy golden. Aroma of stale hops, a bit floral, honey-ish and cookie-ish malt and fruity notes Sweet malty flavor, caramelly, with a bit of honey, a bit of fruitiness and a finish with very short bitterness with some old hops and a bit of alcohol. Medium-bodied.

12 oz. bottle, sent from mista (thanks a lot, Geoff), pours a hazy golden orange with a medium white head. Aroma of resinous hops, some tropical fruits, and a little bit of butterscotch notes. Flavour is big and bold, with loads of resinous hops, some tropical fruits (oranges, a little mango and pineapple), and a bit of sweet caramel malt. Exceptionally well-rounded, finishing both hugely hoppy and moderately malty. Extremely high drinkability. Excellent stuff.

Fresh hop aroma, with strong hop forward taste. Lots of flavor. Hard to break down all the big hop beers...they are pretty similar but some just taste better. All about the execution and this one is a good bit above average.

Pours brownish orange-gold and fizzy with a moderate head. Aroma is pine-citrus (almost mango-orange). Taste is piney hops, citrus and alcohol and in a nice blend. Some malty sweetness comes through as well. Rich mouthfeel where the hops support the sweet-citrus-malt. A well-made imperial IPA. Perhaps a touch too sweet. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle received by my summer secret santa. Thank you jsquire. Pours tiny hazy deep brownish golden with a small frothy and fizzy offwhite head that is rather quick to dissipate while leaving a small trace on the glass. Smell is fruity, malty, floral and herbal with crackers, white bread, pine needles, grapefruit juice, resinous pine cones, elderflowers, lemon zest, orange peal, freshly cut grass, papaya and alcohol. Taste is sweet and bitter with crackers, white bread, biscuits, alcohol, pine needles, resinous wood, moist soil, freshly cut grass, overripe gooseberries, grapefruit rinds, lemon zest, orange zest, overripe mango, pineapple, black currant leaves and hints of caramel. Mouthfeel is round, oily bitter, slightly boozy and medium to full bodied. Finish is bitter with white bread, grapefruit rinds, biscuits, pine needles, grass, resinous wood and alcohol. Nice and heavily bitter.
