3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 jcos (1175) - Maryland, USA - AUG 28, 2012Have definitely had this before, as I’ve had a 4 pack to my name. Don’t know why I haven’t rated it. Rating on memory, will update next time I have another. Remember it being a solid DIPA.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 maxwelldeux (2222) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - MAY 20, 2013
Bottle. Pours a clear copper-ish color with almost no head on it. Nose is a little piney actually and quite inviting. Taste is actually a little sweet, but with some hoppy bitter undertones. Interesting.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 RABinVA (683) - Fredericksburg, Virginia, USA - MAY 18, 2013
Fresh 2013 bottle. Pours light amber/gold with a slight white head and moderate lacing. Juicy, slightly gumball aroma. Taste is citrus, gumball, a bit of cotton candy, pineapple. Really great. 100x better than Alchemy Hour. Really smooth drinking, not hint of booze. Great summertime DIPA.
4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 superspak (1475) - Michigan, USA - MAY 17, 2013
12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, best before 7/26/2013. Pours lightly hazy golden amber color with a 1-2 finger dense white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of big mango, pineapple, grapefruit, orange zest, lemon zest, pine, floral, grass, honey, and floral earthiness. Fantastic aromas with great hop complexity and moderate malt balance. Taste of big mango, pineapple, pine, grapefruit, lemon zest, orange zest, floral, grass, honey, bread, and floral earthiness. Moderate pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of tropical fruit, citrus, pine resin, floral, grass, honey, bread, and hop earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity and balance of hop flavors; with a moderate malt balance that doesn’t overshadow the hops, and zero cloying flavors lingering after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a moderately creamy and sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a small warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a highly excellent DIPA! Big hop flavor complexity with moderate malt balance; and dangerously smooth to sip on. A highly enjoyable offering.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 michcam8 (176) - Ohio, USA - MAY 15, 2013
Another excellant DIIPA from Great Lakes. I have had this one numerous times but never rated. Now that I have had their new DIIPA Alchemey Hour, this one is just one notch below. Very good, balanced, easy drinking, for 9.1%. Where it lacks a little is in the aroma. Very good beer though, and some said this would no longer be brewed. Glad to see it again in my local grocery store....highly recommend.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 weihenweizen (1165) - Charleston Area, West Virginia, USA - MAY 12, 2013
On tap at Pies and Pints Charleston. Pours deep golden with big white head. Aroma is rich grapefruit. Light/medium body, medium carbonation, and medium/lots lacing. Taste is fresh grapefruit with strong rich malt backbone. Fairly easy drinking for a Imperial IPA.
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 akoeninger (155) - Wisconsin, USA - MAY 11, 2013
Golden color with big white head, some lancing. Aroma of nectarine, resin, and sweet flowery Taste is lightly bitter, all hops, but still well balanced. Not a pine tree hop flavor but a more flowery and sweet citrus. Finishes crisp slight bitter slightly warming. Light to medium body. Very good very drinkable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 phikus01 (84) - New York, USA - MAR 7, 2013
Wasn’t too impressed, a lot of malt that didn’t unfold much, hop bitterness that didn’t offer much else

Malty aroma and body. Great hop aroma and bitterness, but nicely balanced to be not overly boozy
