UPDATED: FEB 28, 2012 Deep brown/black pour with a little bit of light tan head. The nose is a little bit sweet and chewy. Some light Belgian spice and a little bit of soft cocoa and chocolate. A little bit of light raisin and a hint of toffee. There is a little bit of light coffee on the back. There is a little bit of light hoppiness on the back that is very lovely. Soft and a little bit of lingering fruit. Nice stuff.

Limited bottle run, previously served at a Project X. Pours dark with a small lasting off-white head. Roasted aroma. A lot of roasted taste, coffee grind quality, not integrated.

Bottle [650ml] shared with HogTownHarry, JoeMcPhee, jerc & mabel -- c/o j&m. Feb. 11. Pours a very dark brown, almost black, with a small diminishing frothy light-brown head. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, black currants and some light fruity tartness. Flavour of roasted malt, light coffee, chocolate and light leafy hops. Medium bodied. Pretty good stuff.

[4297-20120211] 650mL bottle. Burnt roasty breadcrumb aroma. Black body with a quick foamy light brown head. More sweet charcoal burnt bread flavour. Full body. Interesting to try but quite big big big. (7/4/7/4-/14) 3.6

UPDATED: MAR 1, 2012 2012-02-11. Very dark brown-black body with a nice small tan head. 4+ Interesting aroma, sort of dusty malt, sweetish malt undercurrent, sort of green herbaceous overtones. Flavour has similar herbaceous touches, sort of leafy, interesting mild bitterness throughout, seems like the hops were probably even stronger when it was younger. Smooth average body, soft carbonation. Enjoyable. Bottle from the brewery August 2011
