Pour is orange maroon, clear with tiny carbonation bubbles and a two inch dirty white head that is pretty lasting. Aroma of sweet biscuit malt and bright pine hoppiness. Some earthiness in there also. Taste starts with maltiness, is very lively in the middle with some nice spiciness, and a very dry pine resin hop finish. Some burnt char character in here too. A touch thin on the palate which made this a bit less complex bit crazy drinkable for an 8 percent beer. Nice one. LeMunche (66), Orland Park, Illinois, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 5/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jan 26, 2008 I’m starting to enjoy IPAs a little bit more and even will choose dreadnaught or dogfish 90 minute over a good stout on some nights. However, this beer was a challenge to drink. I found it to have only 1 dimension, hops. Not balanced. Gregis (1132), Shawnee, Kansas, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 23, 2008 Bottle courtesy of Tilley4. BB date of 11/23/06. Pours a deep, hazy mahogany with a creamy, beige head. The nose is a malty blend of toffee, caramel, brown sugar, bright fruit and spice with a bright hop presence in the background. Medium to full-bodied and creamy with a bitter and lightly dry finish. The flavor is a big malty front with raisin, wood, nuts, and light peat notes along with earthy and citric hops and fruity peach pit at the finish. This is a unique brew. Creamy and multifaceted. I have got to get another bottle of this to see if the hops play a bigger factor in a fresher bottle. I liked this one quite a bit. Thanks for sending it, Sam! mixinnixon2000 (227), Chicago, Illinois, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 20, 2008 Strong, robust, and very hoppy. A nice bitterness runs through this ale and really paired well with an inferno chicken sandwich at Midtown Pub in Madison. Easy to quaff, this one was quite a masterpiece. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 16, 2008 Courtesy of Alexsdad06, Thanks Brad! 12 oz bottle. Pours a ruby hued amber color with a medium creamy tan head. Nose of grapefruit hops, lots of ripe vibrant peach that light up the aroma, mango ,other citrus fruits and sweet malts linger in the background. Initial taste of grapefruit hops that are sharp and delicious. Not over powering. Moving into a mid palate of fruit mainly distinctable is peach which was given off from the aroma and bready malts. Finishing with bitter hops with touches of caramel with a good palate duration. Good head retention and nice lacing of the glass. Medium body. Very delightful warming beer and well balanced. | 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jan 11, 2008 No. This strong IPA is NOT well balanced and gets its overly hyped rating on this site from the hop-heads. Too bitter adn alcholol presence too strong. wetherel (1590), Encinitas, California, USA
