Commercial Description:
Often referred to as Burning River Pale Ale's big brother, this stock ale is remarkably balanced for such a highly hopped beer. A rich deep blood red color makes this beer scary enough to be served every Halloween and a few other times of the year.

12 oz bottle bonus via trade with West Side Threat. Pours cloudy orange with a white film of a head. Scent is rich and malty with a bit of a hoppy edge. The taste is a very nice balance between a full force hoppy bitterness and a nice malty taste. The hops really stick with my mouth after I finish taking a sip. This is certainly a high quality American Strong Ale.

A dark amber pour with a nice gooey lacing and an aroma of fruity caramel malt. A flavor that reeks of sweet malt initially and then kicks in with a nice hop bitter. A pallet that is very solid. A damn good beer that I’ll have to admit I could not identify until I looked it up.

Dark amber in color with little head and nice lacing. Sweet and fruity, hoppy aroma. Flavor has huge citric hops and grapefruit. Dry, bitter finish. This reminds me a lot of Arrogant Bastard.

Thanks to RagallachMC for the bottle. Clear copper with a small head. Good lacing. Aroma of grass and citrus hops and caramel malts. Taste of brown sugar, raisins and grapefruit. Oily and slightly alcoholic texture. Medium to full body. Bitter aftertaste. Great beer.

Nice malty start balanced with a hop finish, though no better than many other beers brewed in this style. Red pour with short tan head. Sweet malt aroma of caramel and fruit , peach and strawberry, followed by some bready malts and citrusy hops. Flavor is sweet to begin with, but quickly turns bitter and that sticks around through the finish. Medium body with watery texture. Prickly carbonation. Moderately long finish. Solid and pleasant enough, but lacks distinction.

Poured an amber color not much head. Aroma was of caramel and pine. Flavor was of citrus hops and caramel malts could have been a little more balanced. Alcohol was a little sharp but not awful.

Pours a nice clear red with half an inch of light tan foam. This recedes to a thin film, but provides pretty good lace. Sweet aroma with caramel malt and an almost strawberry fruitiness. Delicious flavor - heavy dry toasted malt, some sweet caramel, light licorice, and black tea. The hop bitterness comes on in the finish, with a little spice and a little citrusy orange. Medium body, moderate carbonation. Tart and tangy hop aftertaste.
