Clear copper color with a small beige head. Nice citrus hop aroma with some sweet malt and caramel. Flavor was drier than I expected. Red-orange (with flecks of pinkish-purple at a distance) with a medium-sized fizzy off-white head. Lots of caramel and toffee in the aroma, some plums/raisins, slight alcohol with perhaps a hint of cinnamon and some ginger "zing". Moderately bitter flavor, some pine, balsa wood, lightly roasted malt, caramel, and wheat hulls. Dry, lightly bitter finish with some residual sour graininess. Nicely carbonated with a moderately full mouthfeel. bethmatt0421 (318), Covington, Kentucky, USA

Definitely one of the best of the Great Lakes brews. Aroma is biscuity malts, and a hint of wheat. Hoppy and bitter just the way I like it. Also biscuits in the flavor. Speaks of Halloween. slightly fruity but just ..slightly. anyway. A must have for any Great Lakes fan.
