Copper body with a velvety off-white head and good lacing. Strong woody hop aroma plus caramel and brown sugar. Sweet crystal malt flavor with nice toasty notes and balancing woody/earthy hop character with partly drying bitterness. Medium-full body. A solid stock ale. Thanks Erway.

Large light orange head of fine bubbles. Dense and creamy on top. Light carbonation. Sweet and malty aroma with a hint of alcohol. Nothing very distinctive. Maybe a little bit of hops. Color is a bright orange. Strong bitterness that is balanced very well with the sweet malts. Plentiful hops! Some alcohol that imparts a nice warming. Little dry citrus in the flavor with a pretty sharp bitterness at the finish. Long and dry and makes the mouth pucker. Alcohol shows up at the finish also. Aroma a little weak in my bottle but the flavor makes up for it big time.

This baby poured red, just like they said. Tan creamy head on a clear red body. Very good lacing, Head stayed till the bitter-sweet-sad end. Malt nose, with dark fruits, then lemon-citrus. Caramel and orange. Wow, big hops here, once past that, caramel, and sweet citrus fruits. Followed by a bit more pine lemon hops. I really like this. Bit of a bitter dry finish, mouth watering for more. I WANT MORE! CHEERS TO OHIODAD!

2nd rating,much different then the first one I had,much more hop intense,but with enough malt backing tht its not quite an IPA. Bumped it up about 5 points

Rounding out a hat-trick of 3 deliciously-evil beers (including Avery the Beast and Old Rasputin RIS) comes Nosferatu. Pouring a clear, reddish-copper with a large, creamy, buttery-yellowish head, the appearance rates a 4. (The awesome label art of the Max Schreck version of the monster bumps it to a 5.) Heavy caramel malts mingled with sweet orange citric hops... sometimes distinct, othertimes blending to form an aroma of spiced orange taffy. Despite an initial sharpness (a "bite", if you will), the flavor was remarkably balanced. Thick & sweet malted flavors alongside a moderate, lingering citrus bitterness. Dry and creamy with light alcohol in the finish. Terrorific.

GTM. Not much of an aroma. Slight hoppy bitterness. Clear amber, no bubbles. Reasonably lasting, light tan head. Nice color and lace. Rich, sweetness, alcohol. Takes a second to get used to this after Edmund Fitzgerald. A little on the cloying side.

Pours a transparent reddish brown with a thin head that fades. Aroma is of roasted nuts, brown sugar, slight coffee, and a slight caramel with a nice fruit/citrusy hoppiness just underneath. Flavor is of roast nuts, caramel, citrusy and fruity hops. Thin body, watery palate. Very nice beer but its a bit to thin.

Pours a copper red with a thin head. You can definitely smell the fruity hops. There is a good amount of caramel malt flavor, but the hops still dominate, it’s surprising that the alcohol content is so high, it does not have that strong alcohol taste. This is a new favorite of mine, you can’t go wrong with Great Lakes.
