Aug 18, 2005 There is a huge resemblance of this beer to Sierra Nevada Celebration ale. Lots of fruity hops, good amount of malt, and some spiciness. Just a little more stronger all around. Highly recommended.

Aug 16, 2005 Solid amber hue with a healthy head. Juicy beer. Sweet, toasty malts. Forest-like hops, with a nice nip of citrus. Nice body; nice balance. Alcohol is hidden fairly well, though it come up with a dryish, nuttiness. Overall, really good beer. Goes down easy with big notice.

Aug 14, 2005 Oh mommy! This one’s a winner. A big bright shining star in Great Lakes’ lineup of international superhero beverages. This is like a stronger Burning River, with nearly twice the Krunk Juice! Yowza!

Aug 11, 2005 Attractive coppery brown. Good, lasting head. Very toasty maltiness in the aroma. Touch of phenols. A bit hoppy. Nicely malty with strong hop bitterness. Pretty tasty.

Aug 7, 2005 Updated: Nov 20, 2006Draft, at GLBC. I should save this for rating #666, but who knows if I can hold on to the notes that long. Orangey brown color, light lacing still in the sampler glass after I’ve been throught the other samples. Smells of honey and a touch of cinnamon. Still has a big hop bouquet to go along. Despite its ABV’s, not much of an alcohol burn. A fine finish to a great sampler tray at Great Lakes. Extra note, 11/20/06: Five weeks ago I was pouring beer at the <a href="http://ratebeer.com/events-detail.asp?e Park Oktoberfest, and I took a growler of this beer home from the tap at the end. As of now I’m still pulling off it, and even from a jug of dubious sanitation, this is still a burly beer, with lots of malt and lots of hop. Strong enough to survive some very beer-unfriendly conditions! And still very yummy!

Aug 5, 2005 This is a very pretty beer. Deep amber in color with a crimson hue, plus a thick, slightly rocky head. Almost breathtaking. Fairly muted aroma, but as it warms the orange citric hops with sweet maltiness show their faces. Lovely and tingly on the tongue. Rich and full figured, this baby packs a malty wallop with a strong dose of grapefruity hops. Slight alcohol at the finish. If you want a buzz, this could be your beer. Aug 3, 2005 Amber color with a small head. Aroma is hops and malt. Flavor is hops, with some sugar and malt. Alcohol is pretty well hidden. Very drinkable.

Aug 2, 2005 Updated: Oct 31, 2009Pours clear copper with reddish tints, and a thin off-white head. Notes of toffee, woody hops, and citrus. Full bodied with some moderate hop resins. Finish is slightly sweet, moderately bitter.
