4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Pours a deep reddish orange color with a medium head. Love the artwork and concept for this beer, nice to have a seasonal that isn’t a Marzen or pumpkin beer. The beer itself is remarkably well balanced. Malts are slightly sweet, notes of caramel and a bit of roast. Medium bodied. The hops are....well.....lets just say they fucking nailed the hop profile on this one. Very fresh tasting with heavy notes of citrus and a bit of floral. Probably one of the best "red ales" I’ve had.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
It pours dark amber with a white head. It has aromas of floral hops, roasted malts, some pine, and citrus fruits. It has a pleasant mixture of floral hops and smoky malt elements with a moderate bitter kick on the palate.

3.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Only a slight hop and barley aroma. Nice deep red color. Slight spice and lots of hops. Almost a nutmeg but the hops kick it overboard. Tap

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a reddish amber with a thin white head. Spotty lacing. Aroma Lots of tropical fruit, malt and resinous hops on the nose. The sweetness of the malt and the hops are really balanced. Full bodied. The texture is oily with a big lasting bitter finish. I had went to buy a six pack in the local beer store and there was a tasting of great lakes products. Immediately changed my beer choice today.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a dark orange-brown with a thin off white head. Very strong and interesting aroma. Some piney resin hops with a sweet fruit mix. Nice body, slightly oily and clings to the glass. Taste is similar to an Imperial IPA with some bitterness but more malty sweetness. There is a medium dry alcohol warmth at the finish. Its a little harsh. Not exactly what I expected from the description but not bad.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured from the 4-pack, clear dark red, almost blood red in the light, not much of a collar but that’s probably because it would get in the way of neck biting and blood sucking. Tastes sweet, a bit metallic or irony, hoppy, gritty, some bitter, packs a nice 8% punch. Nice beer to enjoy on the first day of fall while constructing an evil plan for Halloween.

Aroma of toast, fruit, some caramel. Pours a reddish brown copper color. White head disappears quickly. Sweet caramel, bitter fruit, touch of cocoa. Well balanced, smooth finishes slightly bitter. Nice.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
This is a fine beer. It pours dark copper/red, the head is creamy and hangs on for a while. The aroma is rich, if slightly muted. A little oak, some brown sugar. The flavor is smooth up front, slightly sweet, and then finishes with a wash of hops, caramel, nuts and cereal malt. Nice.
