Poured from draft at Sheffields. Black with tan head. Sweet and creamy earthy taste. Very good beer for having low ABV. Impressed and want more.

Pint at Tyler’s Apex. Good aroma. Sweet . Roasty. Dairy that I associate with oat. Dark reddish brown color. Small head faded quick. no lace. Sweet flavor. Lighter body. Smooth mouthfeel, roasty finish. Tasty easy drinking. Oaty.

Draft at Revolution. Pours a brown color with amber highlights and a small tan head. Coffee, oats, toast, and chocolate are all present in the aroma and flavor, but the nose also has an odd gamey character to it. That really threw me off. Super light in body, with low carbonation and a thin but roasty mouthfeel. A little disappointing, though not bad.

jcos (1541) - Maryland, USA - APR 29, 2013
Location/Date:Draft on April 27th, 2013 at The Bier Baron.

Appearance: Pours a dark brown.
Aroma: Aroma of light roasted malt.
Taste: Light roast, faint caramel, light bitterness.
Palate:Medium body, smooth with a good amount of body.

Summary: Always up for trying more Great Lakes beers, especially ones not bottled. This was a solid oatmeal stout, nice amount of flavor for the abv, really nice mouth-feel.

Dark brown, reddish hues, tan head. Nose is light roast, lots of nutty notes, light molasses, bittersweet cocoa. Flavor is similar, light roast, dusty, light molasses. Some dark fruits-raisins, and char in the finish.

Big notes of fresh coffee grounds and roasted barley jump out of the glass with this Oatmeal Stout. A rich and luxurious dark black pour and chestnut brown head lead to a wonderful aroma and complex flavor. Straight black coffee and bitter chocolate show in the flavor with a touch of toasted and burnt grain. A full body and dry finish seem to contradict and support one another simultaneously. Body kind of bottoms out and the palate shows a bit much acidity.

Draft to taster. Looks solid; cola with foamy light beige head that dissipatea into lacing. Smells and tastes of dark malt with some light roast and oatmeal notes. Nice and smooth on the palate. Unoffensive, but pretty bland and forgettable.

Pours a black with a smooth, creamy looking, although a thinner tan head. Aroma contains lots of roasted malts along with some chocolate notes. Lighter overall, yet its appealing. The taste still has plenty of roasted malts and chocolate. Here we find some more, with a little bit of coffee and some nuts as well. Aftertaste is chocolate and malty. Light in body, with a creamy texture, with light carbonation. It is very smooth drinking this. This one is tasty and some easy drinking. I do with it was a little stronger.
