3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tasted from bottle. Pours black with very little tan head. Appears to have been under carbonated. Aroma is roasty with coffee and chocolate. Body is pretty thin with a watered down taste. Flavors of chocolate, coffee, caramel. Maybe a bad batch. Sub par for a Great Lakes beer.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Sample from a tap. Pours a medium brown with a thin tan ring. Not much of an aroma. Body seems very thin for a stout. Flavor is simple dark malts, coffee, and some sweetness. Not really what I expected and didn’t really enjoy it. Not bad but not as good as it could have been.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle, as pictured. Dark brown nearly-black pour. Not much head on it. Lots of coffee, roasty. Pretty light overall in terms of mouthfeel. Pretty good overall though, I like it. Not quite as good as Edmund Fitzgerald or Blackout but still good.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle from Binny’s in Highland Park. Cola colored pour with a bit of a tan head leaving some lacing. Aroma has caramel, light roast, some dark chocolate and some molasses, along with something a touch offputting. Taste is of sweet caramel, roast, some chocolate, and something herbal. Smooth as typical for oatmeal-led brews, but still some prickly carbonation. Medium bodied with no alcohol presence. Finishes dry and fairly bittersweet, leaning to the sweet side a bit. As typical with Great Lakes, they hit the style on the nose without straying into things that may make it very good, instead of just good. 13.7

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
12 oz. bottle from Old Town; shared with Boo. Aroma: Light oats and cream with just a touch of chocolate and coffee roast. All around, very light aroma. Appearance: Garnet dark brown pour with a foamy tan head that settles into a skin. Flavor: Matches the nose in that it’s very light; oats/cream lead with a whisper, and chocolate/roast is more apparent towards the finish, but again in a muted fashion. Chocolate comes up just a bit towards the finish, which is semi dry. Palate: Medium body, sticky texture, soft carbonation, abrupt finish. Overall: Really pretty dull all around, can’t recommend for more than a casual tick.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
This was a tough beer to rate for me although the aroma and palate had a typical coffee malt taste. I can't get away from the thought that the taste seems watered down. This is hard for me as I love the brewery but there are better stouts out there
