hopscotch (5445), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Dec 4, 2007 Growler… O-Town Throwdown Part Tres... Clear golden ale with a small, white head. Pumpkin and autumn spices in the nose along with a token caramel note. Hearty, sweet, spicy flavor with just a touch of tanginess. Medium to full-bodied with soft carbonation. Finishes spicy and lightly sweet. Brew provided by crizay. Thanks Chris! JoeMcPhee (4911), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Dec 2, 2007 Tap at Allen’s. Hazy golden-orange. Fairly spicy aorma, clove and allspice, some ginger over a rich pumpkiny character. Fairly sweet with a honeyish malt character. Earthy bitterness and a soft sweetness. Sweet fruity esters in addition to the spiciness. Nice pumpkin ale. Ibrew2or3 (2714), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Dec 1, 2007 Growler courtesy of crizay. Thanks a lot Chris. It poured clear gold with white head. The aroma is pumpkin up front followed by mild nutmeg. Spot on aroma with real nice smelling pumpkin. The liquid enters a bit thin feebly ushering in pumpkin, nutmeg and cinnamon. The spices soon fade leaving a tasty pumpkin flavor nearly behind about by midway. The pumpkin shines through into the after taste with only faint spiciness. Nice sessionability. OhioDad (2491), Hilliard, Ohio, USA Nov 27, 2005 On tap at the brewpub. Pours very clear bright amber with a short offwhite head that stayed only briefly. Nice aroma of nutmeg, pumpkin, and a touch of vanilla. Flavor is quite similar to the aroma... I thought the pumpkin flavor came through very much in this ale. Palate is rather light but enough body there to give it character. Very drinkable and quite tasty... Went well with the artichoke dip appetizer. mgumby10 (1844), Jupiter, Florida, USA Nov 18, 2007 Courtesy crizay. Pours a clear orange, with a medium white head. Smells of warm, toasty pumpkin spice, with still a good dose of just the pumpkin in it too. Seems well balanced so far. This is evident in the flavor as well. Good dose of spice and pumpkin blended together. Nothing really overpowers which is usually a downer for me in pumpkin beers. Balance is key here. Good amount of cinnamon shows up in th finish. Pretty good pumpkin brew. JMFG (1514), Florida, USA Nov 27, 2007 Sampled from growler @ Throwdown 3, courtesy crizay. Clear orange color with a thin soapy white head. Very toasty pumpskinseed aroma, lots of malt, a hint of spices. Mild taste with the toastiness coming through first and some of the spice becoming more apparent in the finish. Mild, but drinkable and enjoyable. RCL (1444), Waltham, Massachusetts, USA Nov 3, 2006 On tap. Liquid pumpkin pie. Surprisingly spicy flavor. One of the best pumpkin beers I have ever had, easily.
