Rally Drum Red Ale is an American Red Ale, a modern non-traditional style borrowing heavily from characteristics associated with more classical styles such as “pale ales” or “bitters.” This unfiltered copper-colored ale is brewed with a blend of Harrington 2-Row Base Malt, Crystal 77, and Special Roast malts, yielding a toasty layered complexity. Cascade and Simcoe hops add bitterness and aroma.

on tap @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Hazy amber brown color with a long-lasting 1" beige head, full sheet of lace. Aroma smells sharply of citrus hops. Taste is full-bodied lightly toasted caramel malt that adds citrus bitters on the swallow, then finishes with a bump of sweet malt followed by lingering bittering. Nothing unusual here, but it is balanced, appealing, and easy to drink, laying light on the stomach. Good stuff.

Julie says it was awfully hoppy. Not a Julie beer. Taste like most of great lack bears. 1.5 ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Whole Foods. Pours a clear light reddish color with lasting beige head and active carbonation. Aroma is mild, caramel malts, bready ale complexity. Flavor is same, with sweet toasted but complexity and caramel sweetness with hints of brown sugar. Medium bodied, roasted malt in the finish.

Pours brown with red and orange hue. White head and no lacing. Very unique brew. Aroma of toasted malts and dank...interesting. Taste is alittle thin, but again surprises me with a moderately dark roasted malts, hint of sweet caramel, and ends with tons of dry bitterness.

Draft served in a pint glass at HalfCut. Pours a clear reddish amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of toasty and sweet and biscuit malts, dried leaves, earth, and a bit of toffee. The malts aren’t as dominant in the flavor, which has a lingering earthy hop note along with all of the above. Light-medium bodied, with moderate carbonation and a bitter, malty mouthfeel. Good amber ale.

Draft. Orangish red with an off white head. Aroma of berries and lemon. Nothing really special upfront. Middle is grapefruit brine with a slight bitter citrus note at the end. A perfect ale to watch the Tribe. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
