A golden saison with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light sulfur notes, banana and cloves, OK. In mouth, a nice smooth fruity malt with light banana and cloves, light mineral notes, faint pepper, OK. Bottle at Brother’s Beer Bistro.

Bottle pours bright red, aroma was pure rasp. Flavour tasted like pure raspberry, no artificial rasp like a lot of fruit beers. Really nice flavour. Remind me kind of raspberry gelato

Pours cream soda pink with a cotton candy cap that is fatter than a crack smoking mayor. Taste kinda pinches me: was expecting something a bit sweeter. Maybe it’s the fruit & beer trend this summer (thinking of Kensington & their syrupy watermelon beer). It’s a tank 10 & they are having fun. Not getting steady rotation in my fridge but glad I picked it up.

On tap at the Only Cafe (as Raspberry Hissyfit). Pours a reddish with pinkish head. Aroma is nice, fresh, tart raspberries. Raspberries also dominate the flavour, with only hints of grain and yeast. Full of flavour especially for 3.8%. Impressive.

Bright pink red pour with a massive pink head. The nose is bright and fruity. The yeast is kind of subdued but there is a bit of spice and a bit of fruit as well. Lean bodied and refreshing. Decent enough - but I prefer the regular version.

650 mL. Pours cranberry cocktail with a short lived white head. Raspberry, cranberry and a touch of grainy malt. Surprised not to see any yeast flavours here. Refreshing and dry, nice and fruity, but a bit much raspberry. Thin body and moderate carbonation.

Draught at ’The Rhino Summer Beer Festival 2013’. Pours a deep ruby with a spare diminishing frothy white head. Aroma of sweet and slightly tart raspberries along with some grain and malt in the back. Nice flavour of raspberries, sweet and tart, light and refreshing. Average bodied. A pleasant light Fruit beer.

Not bad - integrates decently. Pours red with ok head and lacing. Raspberry aroma with some mash malt. Average carbonation. Sour finish. Tap at The Rhino summerfest.

2013-07-14. Crisp dark red pink body with a modest pink white head. Aroma is pleasantly fruity, moderate raspberry. Flavour is lightly tart, fruity raspberry, lightly dry in the finish. Average to light bodied palate, soft carbonation. Quite drinkable, relatively simple but tasty fruit beer. On tap at Rhino Summer Beer Festival, Toronto

(Draught at Bryden’s, Toronto, July 12, 2013) Pours a deep rose pink, as dark as the darkest Grenache-based rose, with a thin white bubbly head, no lace. Aroma is a fresh pint of raspberries, straight up. Apparently Lackey is claiming 80kg of fruit per batch - this smells like it. Flavour is heavy on fruit at the start, tart and dry without any real residual sugar but with a nice fresh bite, not synthetic at all. Stays fruity all the way through, but some light cereal grain and yeast come through on the dry, lightly mineral finish - evidence of the Hissyfit grisette base. Body is light, carbonation fairly high but can be swirled out. Refreshing, only want a couple of small pours but they hit the spot on a hot summer day. This is crying out for Brett, however!
