Bottle thanks to my mom. Pours a clear orange with a near white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is quite hoppy with pine, resin and a touch of grapefruit with a light rye backbone. Flavor has a good amount of pine hops with a decent amount of resin and a touch of resin and rye.

Tap at Bspot Crocker park, everyone swore to me I had a bad sample from a bad keg, and while this beer was better than I remember it being it still isnít great. Your basic rye IPA, that if it was made 5 yrs ago would have been great but with all the new hops and better tasting hops it doesnít hold up

Holy palate shredding beer, batman! This is bitter for the sake of bitter. And then more bitter. Pretty substantial bittering hops but not much citrus. Meh. Might nt be able to finish this one...

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Strong hop aroma leading into a spicy, malty mouthfeel. Served in a pint glass with solid lacing. Not overly aggressive on the hops, making it relatively easy to drink. Good, not great.

Clear copper pour with a thin soapy off white head and striped sticky lacing .... aroma of rye, citrusy hops and a bit earthy ... rye tones the aroma down a bit .... taste is of spicy rye, dry bitter hops, citrusy and just a lingering rindy citrusy bitter hop over and over front to back of the tongue with a nice earthyness .... dry rye bite gave this ipa some nice teeth .... finish is dry bitter and hoppy as heck .... loved it abv hidden very well

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Blue Max, aromas of malt, earthiness, grass, dank hops. Taste comes through big with the rye malt and fades to the resinous hops and finishes with a lingering bitter, nice beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle by 06/17/13, here on 05/02/13. Nose heavy lemon and grapefruit, tropical lean, pungent hops. Pretty golden body with a tight, rocky beige head. Taste is strongly bitter with plenty of juicy oils and faint resin, a little booze and strong Centennial-like floral character, strong citrus, strong rye. Full body, very heavy. The perfume element is quite bold here, puts me off at speed or volume; I find Sierra Nevadaís recent rye more to my liking.
