Pretty good rye P A with all the elements intact. In all, it’s not that interesting to me--certainly no Hop Rod Rye. serving size: 12oz bottle.

Pours a clear amber with a slowly fading beige head, good lacing. Aroma of rye, grains, some malt. Taste is rye, mild toasted grains, a bit of caramel malt with some floral earthy hops bitterness. Palate is a medium body, crisp with good carbonation. Finishes with rye, grains, malt and earthy hops bitterness for balance, slightly dry ending. Overall a very good, balanced and good drinking brew.

brass color with large pillowy white head. aroma biscuit malt, earthy and spicy hop, slight orange, Simcoe. Medium to high carbonation, tastes like it smells, rye is easy to miss if not alerted to its presence

Aroma: floral Appearance: golden....clear.....frothy Taste: medium bitterness Palate: a good balance between the hops and rye Overall: just ok for me, when RYE is the first word in the title, you would think it is what the overall taste is all about. The hops nor the rye wins out.

Malty, rye, grainy, bready inviting stuff. Palate is hoppy and fruity, with plenty of pine to play off the strong rye backbone. Excellent.

Bottle from Heinens. Gold with small head and some lace. Fruity hop aroma of citrus rind tangerine and a hint of herbs. Medium sweet honey mango fruitiness with assertive lingering herbal orange rind hop bitterness and mild lingering sweetness. Medium body. Very good.

Delicious. Just the right amount of Rye. Not too bitter. Would do it again.

Perhaps the most true to the rye style as I’ve tasted, with loads upon loads of rye malt and grapefruit initially on the palate, leading into a blast of floral hops that show a prickly edge, and finishing with more...rye. Alcohol is present but covered well. Smooth, lacking the medicinal finish that plagues their Commodore Perry IPA, and a bit less aggressive then Sierra Nevada’s rugged Ruthless offering. A beer for spring.
