Pours an orange marmalade color with minimal head, great color. Lemongrass, resin, caramel make up the aromas. Flavors of orange peel, caramel, corriander, and rye malts. Beer is heavy on the palate medium high carbonation, hoppy dry finish.

Bottle to shaker glass, pours hazy copper, Two finger off white creamy head, decent lacing, filmy retention. Aroma of rye bread and citrus. Taste is wonderfully balanced sweet peppery malts, bright herbal/citrus hop bitterness. Body is full, moderate carbonation, sticky mouth feel. Finish lingers, Tasting notes of pepper, cherry, tangerine, light pine, caramel and herbs. This kitty is a winner

Lovely SRM 13-15 golden color, absolutely glows, and has a finger of puffy white head. Aroma is spicy rye malts, like a pumpernickel bread. There is a touch of broccoli sulfuric. I had always thought I was imagining this in the past but at least a year later Iím getting the same thing. It overpowers the hop, which is oily, resinous hops. The flavor has less of that broccoli stuff, and is very spicy and well-balanced. The spice of the malts and the spice of the hops are a great combination on the palate. The feel is rough and sandpapery. Iím not advocating to drink this one out of the bottle directly, but itís okay to drink it out of a narrow-rimmed glass. Itís a very solid IPA that could be better if they could figure out that one off-flavor.

Six pack from Oliverís in Albany. Pours out a murky golden amber with a frothy off-white head that settles to a thick lace. Herbal-citrus-malty aromas and flavor profile. Lingering light spicy bitterness. Solid IPA

12 oz bottle served in a tulip. Beer pours a hazy copper with a thick white head that leaves nice lacing as it shrinks. Aroma is pine, grapefruit, orange, some breads and spice. On to taste. The beer has a pine resin, citrus hop flavor right off the bat. It is met with a nice caramel malt back and some spices from the rye. The beer is quenching and finishes somewhat dry. Great rye IPA.

Bottle to pilsner glass. Clear Yellow. Big white head. Aroma is mostly grassy, some hoppiness and citrus. Taste: rye is forthright, some acetone in the finish. Feel is fairly smooth, medium carbonation. The little bite in the finish is smoothed out by a creamyness, but it almost tastes soapy at that point. Not too shabby. Rocky......WIN!!!!

Appearance: clear copper amber with a creamy near-white head and decent lacing. Aroma: citrus and pine, with a light caramel malt note. Taste: citrus (grapefruit), apricot, light resin, with a firm caramel and brown bread malt bill, accented by just a bit of rye heat. Finish: not overly bitter, with some pleasantly lasting hop aromatics over the malt sweetness; nicely dry. Notes: Really well done. Balanced flavors, good palate, rye just there enough to be noticed. Bottle from Westover Market, Arlington, Virginia.
