On tap at Lunar Brewing Co., and shaker served showing a clear, orangey gold color, with a persistent layer of frothy, off white head foam, and curtainy cling to the lacing. The aroma was a modest nose of sweet citrus as orange & pulp, and some spiciness. The taste also started sweet, with maltiness, and bitterness that was citrus, rind, & rye. Medium bodied, fairly disguised alcohol, but pretty tasty.

One of the few IPAs where the flavor exceeds the aroma. Donít get me wrong, the hops are there in the nose, but tropical fruits and spice come through much more in taste. Yum!

[Bottle] Dark golden pour with a small amount of head on top. Rye malt and earthy hop aromas. Moderately bitter overall. Rye, bread, pine, white pepper, biscuit and some citrus notes in the taste. Nice balance. The flavors come together well here. Lingering sweet and malty finish.

Rich amber color. Has a nice aroma of sweet citrus fruit, and pine. The flavor is a wonderful mix of tangy IPA, sweet citrus, sweet malty caramel, tart fruit, and spicy rye. It has a fantastic balance and is a great beer.

Nice aroma pours an orange hue , smells like orange and rather sweet. Taste is good citrusy and mild rye. Mouthfeel is not very full but would not turn it down. Would like to try it on draft .

UPDATED: APR 25, 2015 On tap poured into a shaker. The aroma is predominantly a roasted grain and rye with a caramel touch. There?s also a bit of pine and herb in there as well. It pours a clear honey yellow-brown color with a foamy, fluffy, pillowy soft, small-bubbled white head. It retains quite a bit of the head leaving a good medium-thick fluffy ring, an abundant, cloudy surface coverage, and a near sheet-like messy lacing. It?s a highly bitter beer with a mellow, malty, medium sweetness. The soft, creamy carbonation combined with the syrupy smooth texture to give this beer an overall slick and creamy feel. The full body finishes with a dry caramel, roasted grain, and pine with a touch of citrus sweetness.A gritty, resin aftertaste is left behind with additional notes of toasted rye. It?s a strong aftertaste that has a lingering quality.
