Rye aroma mixed with some hops. Well executed ipa with that rye bite but very smooth and blends nicely with hops.

Bottle. Better Beer Of The Month Club. Hazy orange-amber color with a medium off-white head. Aroma of piney and citric hops, a bit stale, with some rye spiciness and a bit of malt. Flavor has some chewy malt, sweetish and a bit caramelly, fruity notes, strong bitterness with piney and slightly grapefruity hops, a bit stale, and some spicy rye notes. Medium-bodied. Decent, but past its prime.

12oz bottle poured into a tumbler glass. Slightly hazy amber color with a decent white head. Aroma of honey and stale hops, beer is obviously too old with only faint citrus and piney aromas. Citrus peel flavor, some juicy light caramel malts, marmalade, faint spicy rye and hi bitterness. Medium bodied, pretty quaffable, but lacks freshness. Could be great when fresh.

Bottle [12oz]. Pours a cloudy golden-orange with a large lasting foamy off-white head. Some lacing on the glass. Aroma is bready, hoppy and herbal along with some rye, fruit, light vegetal notes and Flavour is also bready and hoppy with some rye coming through, some grain, citrus, a touch of alcohol and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied. Enjoyable stuff.

Bottle. Before I even open this and pour it, it picks up an extra +1 to overall solely for the name being awesome. Pours a lightly hazed golden orange with a thin white head. Malty and sweet, a bit of rye with some slow citrus hops and caramel. Medium bodied, spicy citrus. Big grapefruit and pungent quinine and earthiness on the finish. Didn’t quite live up to the great name it has, but still a decent enough rye ipa.
