On tap at blue monk. Pours ambet tam capped by a silkey off white head. Nose of rye, malt, an pine. Taste starts with dry and spicey rye that transforms into sweet caramel. Finish is bitter with pine resin. Yum!

Bottles. This was a shocker, because I was not expecting it to be as good as it was; especially considering the now wide availability. Orange color - tan head, aroma is packed with hops; citrus, grass, etc. Taste smooth and somewhat refreshing - no alcohol burn for a 7.5% beer. This one is now in my six pack rotation from the local grocery store.

bottle. Amber with small head. Huge rye and hops. Maybe a bit too much rye for my tastes, but it’s everything you’d expect from a Rye-based IPA.

Location: 12 oz bottle from jcos, 6/14/13

Aroma: The nose of this one has some peach/tropical hops, some light pine, spice, and rye
Appearance: It pours a hazy orange color with thin head that leaves some mild lace
Flavor: Tastes of spice and rye bread up-front with some later fruity flavors and medium-plus bitterness
Palate: The body is medium, it has a nice, clean feel, average carbonation, and a spicy, dry finish
Overall Impression: This is a really nice RyePA and it is extremely drinkable. I enjoyed it. This one drinks so easy you’d think it’s a 4% beer, so at 7.5% it could be pretty dangerous.

bottle rec’d in trade from ?? nice honey golden pour with white head with nice lacing. Aroma is nice - malt, orange, pine. Hops hit early in taste but is decently balanced with citrus, grapefruit and the malts. not my style, but a good rye ipa; finishes drying and with a rye and pepper bite.

Pours a muddy dark orange pour with a small white head. Nose is sweet and deep citrus with a mango and grapefruit predominance. Taste is bitter sweet and full of intense citrus flavor. Finish is bitter and lingering , an excellent DIPA. Quaff Score 8 / 10

Pours a dark orange with an off white head and sweet aroma of hops and grapefruit. Taste is bittersweet, lots of hops, grapefruit, citrus, and floral notes with a bitter, dry finish. Very tasty, nice IPA

Bottle into snifter glass. Hazy yellow-ish copper color with white head. Aroma of fruity/piney hops, caramel malt and rye spiciness. Taste for me really brings out hop flavors (vs just bitterness), the rye either enhances it or just plays a minimal role. Medium body, average carbonation, balanced, only slightly bitter with dry finish. Great rye IPA, I want more.

Outstanding combination of rye spiciness, malty sweetness, and hoppy aroma and flavor. Just the right amount of bite that made me pleasantly pucker just a bit. Well done.

Nice ryepa . Grain and cereal nose. Great pine hops profile, sweet malts and zesty rye bite. Really solid
