Our silver anniversary isn’t about gold medals. It’s about 25 years of passion and heart. Silver & Gold IPL represents our past and present, from original brewmaster Thaine Johnson’s Dortmunder Gold recipe and engineer Charlie Price’s vision for our Brewhouse to our ever-growing family of beers. Silver & Gold IPL is for our neighbors who’ve shared pints and stories, for the fans who’ve challenged us to be exceptional from day one, and for us-a bottled reminder of how far we’ve come. Brewed with a complex blend of American hops and a mixture of specialty malts, Silver & Gold IPL is bold yet well-balanced, dry yet refreshing. With respect for tradition and a nod to the future, we toast to the next 25 years.

12oz bottle. Filtered orange-tan body, steady off-white head. Very grounded in rich malt tones, but with a resiny, citrus rind hop feel too. Rich, full bodied, a lot of depth. Nails the style, the lagering really gives it a nice, smooth body. Well done.

Suped up version of Dortmunder. Not bad...but does not stand out. One 4-pack is enough for me. Would recommend, but not a door-to-door salesman for this brew. Jack’s Abby is my standard for these type of lagers, and it does not come close.

Copper color with a beige head. Aroma of malt and pine. Taste is pretty bitter and hoppy, much more than expected from the aroma.

From bottle. Pours Pale amber. With thick cream head. Super bright and clean aroma. Piny, flowery, but not overly pungent with a little dry biscuit. Taste is lightly sweet and citrusy with a very dry and bitter finish. Much lighter than an IPA. I really have to highlight the dry part here. Medium bodied with little carbonation. Overall I really like the slight differences and think is a great quality brew and glad Great Lakes decided to avoid the Imperial Craze. Good brew for summer and I can see this pairing well with lite summer fare
