3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Pours a clear gold with a minimal head, quite pretty. The aroma is muted but nice, with some apple and other fruit notes, grain and an odd hint of smoke. The flavor is surprisingly bitter, with more apple and grain notes. Quite floral. Not bad, but the bitterness (out of balance, in my opinion) hurts the drinkability somewhat.

Floral nose, very nice bouquet. Grassy grainy palate, some body. Okay. Like a bit more of the German hops backbone.

Bottle. Pours clear, golden yellow with a big pillowy head. Aroma is mellow with cereal malts, dough and slight leather smell. Taste is salty, not very complex. Pretty smooth on the palate but a little dry and acidic on the finish. Just ok

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
The first Pilsner in my ratings. Pours a notably pale yellow, with a nice white pillowy head. Crisp clean slightly citrusy aromas. Clean crisp on the tongue, not overly hoppy, again crisp and refreshing. This is that "serve ice-cold on a hot summer day" beer. I was pleasantly surprised.
