glbc. tap. Pours an unexpected mostly clear light amber- not gold or wheaty looking at all, wiht a thin film of a head. Aroma is sugary sweet, with light cream of wheat and some hints of DMS and light metallic hops. More sugary sweet flavor with a light slick wheat character, malty, and a light bitter finish. Not as good as I was told. The guy next to me at the bar reccomended it. It was ok.

Pours clear darker golden, white head. Really just a basic easy drinking wheat nothing really jumping out flavorwise. Wheat all the way with subtle citrus and grassy notes, oats , and a lot of hops I’m thinking hallertau flavorwise as well as bittering. Just your basic american wheat nothing wrong with that.

Had on tap at the Great Lakes Brewery. Poured a clear golden color which I found odd for a wheat beer. I agree with first rater. VERY LIGHT in taste. Hard to identify any outstanding flavor, which again, is a bit disappointing for a wheat beer. This was a decent basic beer, and very drinkable, but really nothing spectacular at all and a bit of a let down.

Alleged Thomas Jefferson recipe. Light straw colored brew with a foamy, sticky head. Light aromas of hay and a touch of banana. Soft flavors with a bit of corn sweetness and a touch of tang from the wheat. This would be a very nice beer to drink on the front cafe area on Market this summer.

Supposedly this is a close replica of Thomas Jefferson’s homemade beer. But, this is one of the weakest Great Lakes beers. The aroma is faint, and so is the taste. The color is nice and golden, but the head faded very quick. The flavor, is just like High Life, with a little more tang. A nice starter beer, or one for binge drinking and not caring for flavor.
