3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Visited Great Leap and tried 10 of their beers in samplers. All in all I was impressed and happy with the beers. Too bad I forgot pen and paper so take more serious tasting notes so my rating score is based on memory. Probably one of the favourites from great leap. After craving some hops for a long time this one does the trick.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Buddy brought a growler back from China - this beer survived the trip. This one poured a slightly cloudy orange color with a pretty thick white head. Aroma was relatively non-existent, light malts, some hops. Flavor was a lot more robust. Plenty of citrus notes, oranges - some nice malt balance. This was a lot better than I ever expected it to be. Probably won’t have another chance to try this brew - was nice I had the opportunity.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Lovely dark amber colour, with a sweet and hoppy citrus aroma. One of my favourite double IPAs, a style I’m just beginning to appreciate.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A great double IPA on tap at Great Leap Beijing. Amber colour with a nice creamy head. Some sweetness here, not crazy bitter, but quite flavourful.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cloudy burnt orange with thick lasting head. Aroma of orange blossom, jasmine flower, orange essence, and passionfruit. Rich bitter finish lingers with orange and chocolate-orange with the solid malt character. Brilliant bitter finish. One of their best brews.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Quite muddy darkish amber - Hop God is always an ugly pint. The aroma has piney hops, light citrus, maybe even tomato. The hops are Chinese, and they have a unique character that hints at American but with Asio-Australio influences. Good balance. There is a slight creaminess to the body with light resiny stickiness and a little bit of alcoholic muscle to balance this out. A go-to beer at Great Leap.
