COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Little General IPA is an American-style session IPA, hoppy, but not irresponsibly so. It is a balanced, medium-bodied IPA made with indigenous Chinese hops and a combination of 85% local malts, 15% imported German malts. Named after the only Patriotic hero to be recognized by both Mainland China and Taiwan, the Little General is an act of balanced beauty.

I do not wax on poetically about beer but I do know the quality of a beer once tasted. This review is not about my tastes but reinforces the numbers, which are arbitrary.

Tap@Mikkeller&Friends. Pours hazy amber with medium off white head. Aroma is malty with bread, biscuit and hoppy some fruityness with orange and citrus. Taste is malty with light malts and very hoppy, with grass, citrus, grapefruit and ends in high bitterness. Not that balanced.

Juicy, fruity aroma. Manga, pineapple. Dark golden color, almost clear. Awesome lacing. In taste it’s not that juicy, not that fruity. It’s a bit flat, harsh, aggressive. No fruity notes. Just pure not that nice bitterness. Good aftertaste. It’s ok, worth to try.

nice bitter sweet citrusy aroma. Cool palate. Cool golden color. White lace like a blanket. Danky hopiness. Balanced malt and hops beer palate. Very satisfying.

On draft at the original brewery. Easy drinking, big hop character with more of a focus on herbal and earthy hops instead of massive citrus hops.
