Straw coloured lager style ale. Brewed using the finest lager, cara and wheat malts, to produce a beer with a frosty morning crispness created by its pilsner style hop finish.

Bottle. Light orange in colour, not much of a head. It does have lager character but with a small fruit hopped nose. It’s taste is more malty but there’s some fruit evident in here too.

Bottle 500ml.

Clear medium orange yellow colour with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, fruity, light to moderate hoppy. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, fruity, hoppy. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20130329]

Bottle. Golden yellow ale with a thick white lagery top. Nose is light and malty grain, like an adjunct lager, but there some definite hoppiness which you don’t usually get from a big label lager. Light lemons and grapefruits. There’s a definite TASTE to this, lemons, grapefruit, all very light and quaffable - just maintaining the lager, without creeping up into IPA territory. Drinking this out of season, but this is really nice.

500ml bottle from Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield (recommended) - A nice clear body, thin wispy white head, lasts for a few seconds then gone. Pleasant grainy nose, short bite in the first sip, fruits and sweetness carry through to a short bitter finish. Very pleasant indeed, and a nice change from the heavier winter beers.

Bottle, from Williams Farm Kitchen, Hornsea. Gold, thin shortlived white head and low condition. Gentle chalky malty sweetness, hints of melon and honey and a touch of floral hops in the nose, clean and malty in the mouth with a nicely balanced hop bitterness that has a vague mineral note, lingering but muted hop bitterness in the finish, tempered with a touch of fruity sweet malt.
