Bottle. Yellow-blonde in colour, next to no head. Has a pale ale character but a less than medium body that makes the already light hoppy fruitiness evident in its aroma even less so in taste.

Pale coloured bitter, taste is fairly typical of a Northern bitter, has a strange taste of gin to it too, not my kind of thing really

500ml Bottle: BBD end of Jan 14. Poured into a UK pint sleeve during preparing a Sunday lunch in my hot kitchen: if found ’Sleck Dust’ an idea thirst quencher in every sense. Light amber/golden body with an off-white head that started thin and fell away a bit too swiftly for my liking. Mild citrus notes in a fruity and floral hop nose. Nicely balanced taste: hop bitterness with a citrus bent blend well with the semi-sweet malts to give a pleasant refreshing easy drinking session ale. My first beer from these guys: I’ve got two more different bottles to try, looking forward to them.

500 mL bottle into a tankard. Clear golden with a fair head. Slightly acidic, mineral salt aroma (if that isn’t a contradiction!). Tastes alright, bitter, almost zesty, acidic.

Medium offwhite head doesn’t last. Clear amber body with light carbonation. Herbal caramelly old books aroma with resiny papery notes. Resiny papery taste with herbal gooseberry notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, slightly fizzy mouthfeel. Dry grape and gooseberry aftertaste with resiny caramelly earthy notes. Really nice. Subtle and highly drinkable. (0.5l bottle, from Clarkes, Whitby.)

From bottle. Pours golden/amber, poor head retention. Citrus, floral and slightly resiny aroma. Good bittering. Good example of the style

(draught) pours a slightly hazy golden colour with a frothy off-white head. aroma of straw and floral hops, slightly tart, with notes of bread dough and cactus juice. flavour is very grassy and floral, with notes of grainy pale malts and some lemon meringue pie in the finish. light-bodied with soft carbonation.

Tasted this in the Salt Cot, Saltcoats (JDW) in May 2012. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear pale amber in colour with a thin white head. Nice aroma of fresh syrupy lychees. Thin mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malts give a zesty fruit base of pink grapefruit and lychees juicy in the mouth. Citrusy hops give a sharp, dry lemon bite to the long aftertaste. Finish is again dry and fruity with tart grapefruit notes present in the mouth. A pleasant enough session Golden Ale for the summer.
