Draft at the brewery. Served in a snifter. Pours dark cola brown, towards black, thin head, no lacing, soft carbonation. Nose is bourbon barrel, soft, with notes of vanilla, prounced "burnt" bourbon aroma, which I like, mild dark fruit, soft. Palate is thinner than expected, nice coconut/vanilla bean notes from the Bourbon barrel, plus some mild smoky Porter notes, but I think the barrel was bigger than the beer. I’d be delighted if one of my local breweries did something like this, but I’ve had much better bourbon-aged beers.

Draft at the taproom. Pours black in the snifter with a small tan head. The aroma is roasty and has hints of bourbon and oak. The flavor is very nice, light but nice. The chocolate, and roasted malt dominate with a vanilla and bourbon note on the palate. A little thin... It is a porter, but still for most bourbon aged beers there has been more body. But still, not bad at all.
