On tap, thin on top but laces well, hints of popcorn that disappears quickly. Finish, crisp? Yes, good sipper but quite tasteless, wouldn’t seek it out, just feel it’s missing something even for a lager.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle, now says "Original" on the label? Golden, low white head, light sweet corny malt notes, a hint bittering hops, light watery body, mostly clean but has a very light sticky aftertaste. Not so great....

From bottle at Ship Inn. Pale yellow with little head. Aroma and taste both unremarkable. Made for mass consumption in more ways than one.

0.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
bottle from the local bottle-o in stockton, as advertised on tv. the picture tells the story with this one - clear yellow, sweet industrial aroma, nasty adjunct character, pretty horrible, real queensland beer

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Poured a crystal clear light/pale amber colour with a few millimetres of white foam for a head that diminished fairly quickly to a collar that laced poorly. Carbonation low to moderate with fine to medium sized bubbles. Aroma of sweet malt and grain with no obvious hops. Taste sweet plain malt with no real bitterness; slight metallic after-taste. Light body bordering on watery. Crisp, smooth, refreshing if cold, bland. Just another macro-brewed lager.

1.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
Keg. On par with, if not the, most insipid beer I’ve had to date. Very little going for it. Pale lemon yellow with a small, somewhat lasting and lacing white head, the uniformity of which may well be its one redeeming feature. Aromas of lemon, grain and cardboard, which just about carry through to the palate. Almost non-existent to taste and it’s gone before you know it - very little in the way of a finish. Light body, medium to full carbonation. It’s wet and may just about slake your thirst come summer but there are better pale lagers with which to do that.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
Pale. You can see that it is pale. Smells of cardboard. You can see that it will smell of cardboard because of the clear bottle. Tastes of cardboard and indifference, but then you can see that about to happen as well.
Surprisingly, it could have been worse, and by worse I mean the cardboard aroma/flavour could have been soggy cardboard.

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
(Bottle) Clear straw with small short-lived loose white head. Aroma is grain with cardboard hints. Light bodied and fizzy. Awful taste. Initially a bland inoffensive vaguely sweet flavour which quickly disappears to being very watery with some slightly lemony notes appearing at the end, plus some metallic hints in the aftertaste. Truly awful, but not so awful as to pour it down the sink. It’s more like a slightly flavoured soda water.

0.8 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 1/20
From a 330ml bottle on 15/3/2015. Pours a clear deep golden with a biggish bright white head. The nose is stale grain and corn. In the mouth, it more stale and sweet grain and vegetable, with no evidence of hops to be found. Thin body and average carbonation. Beer really doesn’t get much worse than this. Abysmal.
