shp555 (1377), lilburn, Georgia, USA Dec 25, 2006 Pours a amber color with a off white head. Aroma is slightly malty with slight hop bitterness. Flavor has a harsh bitter flavor to it. Not that good of amber. Aubrey (2625), Denver, Colorado, USA Jun 5, 2004 Deep amber in color. A little roast and a little toast, but I mostly tasted biscuit. Lightly sweet malt base (touch of maple syrup sweetness). Mild hop bitterness (malts won). Not bad, but far from exciting. Not to discredit the brewer by any means, but this is as common as a Ford Explorer ... or a Subaru in Boulder, CO. Ernest (4285), Boulder, Colorado, USA Oct 23, 2002 Draught. Body is dark amber. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), moderately hoppy (grapefruit). Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Finish is moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly astringent.
