COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A well balanced malty, hoppy ale with quite a kick.

On tap at Many Glacier Hotel. Good, but not as good as the IPA last night from the same brewery. This has more roast and rye to it, maintaining some of the bitterness throughout.

On tap. Ruby red with a tan top. Hoppy citrus scent, some bread. Taste is roasty, citrus with a dry bitter finish.

Draft sample at the brewery in Whitefish. Pleasant and easy drinking overall with the hops being too overpowering. Notes: grapefruit pith, orange citrus, sweet caramel malt and light brown sugar.

On tap at Finn & Porter, Missoula. Pours ruby with a nice beige head and a citrus aroma. There is a carbonated roasted malt and grapefruit flavor with a dry bitter finish.

Caramel and toffee a little residual sugar adds a fruity aspect. Some nice citrus and floral hops. Pours reddish amber, thin head. Nice flavors of caramel and toffee, a little medium dark fruit notes, citrus and floral hops. Well balanced, smooth, not overly sweet. A nice ASA.

Tap at Montana Aleworks. Pours a mostly clear red, off white head. The citrus hops are nice up front followed by a dusting of caramel malt. Hops take centerstage. Citrusy. Nice.

On tap @ Montana Ale Works. Deep amber with a creamy off white head and some lacing. Aroma is sweet caramel, light fruit and some citrus. Flavor is more sweet caramel with a clean yeast profile and some light hop bitterness, alcohol fairly well hidden. Nice beer but a bit on the sweet side.

Draft: Reddish amber pour with a finger of sandy head. Strong aroma of florals and citrus hops. Nice hoppy kick with florals, grapefruit, and caramel maltiness. Hoppy red ale.

Tap. My wife had two pints and was ready for a nap. Looks like an Imperial Red but not as malty. Light body lets the hops sing in this one. Strong fruitiness and very smooth.

On tap @ the brewery. Hazy medium amber, thin white skim of a head. Lovely floral hop and caramel aroma, maybe orange blossom? I don’t know, but it’s nice. Sweet caramel malt and floral fruit hop essence. Full bodied, smooth creamy mouthfeel, low bitterness for it’s size. I think this may be my favorite brew from these guys.
