(bottle 8/30/11). Clear gold color. Medium off white head. Moderate berry aroma with light tartness. Flavor of the same, with light sweet malt. Avg duration. Dry finish. Slick texture. Moderate carbonation. Fair lacing.

Big thanks to Slkwily again for this one. Iím one that always appreciates a light fruitiness in a wheat, and this was nice. Cloudy gold with a head that dissapated rapidly. Aroma was my only complaint; something "off" I couldnít identify. Anyway, flavor was nice with a bit of tartness to the end.

2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
What do huckleberries smell like? I donít really know but when theyíre combined with beer the result is an abomination. A sickly sweet rubber aroma. Pours a golden yellow, thin head. Sweet flavour, finish is quite sour. I guess it would be refreshing - if you just spent 3 weeks in Montana without water.

I was lucky enough to get this on draft in Montana! Poured a pale yellow color with a thin off-white head. Lots of berry in the aroma. Taste is mostly of berries, but it is not overwhelming. It is also not too sweet or syrupy, the balance is good. Some hops help give the finish some crispness. Overall very refreshing.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from the Rising Sun general store in Glacier Natíl Park, but I didnít get to drinking it until just now in our hotel room in Great Falls. Feel like I gotta drink it before I leave the state. Pours pale gold with offwhite head. Aroma of wheat and huckleberry juice. Taste is very much the same. Wheat beer mixed with huckleberries. Not overly sweet, though, and finish is of lightly toasted wheat and gentle bitterness. Light body, lively carbonation. Thirst-quenching. Overall: Canít say Iíd order this often, but under the hot Montana sun it makes a compelling case.

Opaque apricot colour with no head. Fruity aroma (duh). Sweet then a bit sour then dry. The berry flavour is mostly in the finish. It is a bit thicker tan I expected. The best fruit beer I've had. Thanks go to Slikwily.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Golden colored with a nice sized white head that left some decent lacing. I assume that the berries I smelled were the huckleberries as I have never had one before. There was also some honey and yeasty wheat in the aroma too. A huckleberry taste along with yeassty notes. Also a watery taste that was a bit unpleasant. Very thin in the mouth. Nothing to special here, but it was neat to have a huckleberry beer.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a cloudy gold. Subtle taste and aroma of huckleberries. I like this better than many fruit beers. A solid wheat beer, with huckleberries.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
This poured a yellow/orange color that was murky with a nice white head that dissipated rather quickly. The aroma and flavor are both dominated by the fruitiness of the huckleberry juice. Very smooth and thirst quenching. Nothing spectacular, nor offensive.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a hazy very light golden color with a minimal white head. Aroma of berries, wheat and yeast. Decent wheat base with sweet berries on the nose, but the berry flavor disappears quickly leaving mostly a fairly fuzzy wheat beer behind. Not super smooth to drink either. It may sound like Iím bashing this beer, but itís not entirely unpleasant to drink. Not as refined as some of the blueberry beers they brew on the east coast (particularly in Maine) but its not a bad summer berry beer if thatís what your looking for. If I could change one thing about this beer Iíd like it to be a bit smoother in the mouth.
