Fly the Flag: (4.1%) – brewed for St George’s Day, this is a copper coloured ale generously hopped with Northdown, Challenger and fuggles. A good old English ale

Cask conditioned - handpump - Malt Shovel Northampton. A dark amber coloured beer with an off-white head. The aroma is malty with a bit of bread and raisin fruitiness. The taste is malty too with some oaty, toasty notes. A little fruit. Fairly average in its class, and for me Great Oakley’s weakest offering.
