Strength is well disguised by the perfectly balanced hop bitterness and sweet malt making it very drinkable and bursting with flavour.

Bottle from Conwy Fine Wines. Shining bronze with a white halo and spots of lace. Lovely stewed aroma juggling rhubarb, blackberry, conifer and shortbread dunked in Darjeeling. Surprising, off-beam bottled effort slipping down like cream with an engaging interplay of fresh nettley hop, cinder toffee, well-squeezed leaf tea, fruit crumble and Allsorts. Interesting.

Cask (gravity dispense) at Battersea Beer Festival, 11 February 2010. This seems to be the same beers as Three Feathers. The descriptions are identical. Seems like Great Orme has recently undertaken a re-branding exercise. Dark amber colour. Thin, loose head. Decent condition. Also slightly under-brewed, clammy malt aroma. Sweetish initially on the palate with a developing chalky bitterness to go with the fruity malt.

50cl bottle @ YNWA. Cloudy amber with sediments floating and a off white head. Rubber, grain, hay, wood and hops. Medium bodied. Quite hoppy and though it has some off flavors its actually pleasant. Ends dry and bitter.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 17/05/09. Reddish-amber in colour with a slight, off-white head. Aroma of caramel and red fruit. Flavour was sweet, with plenty of butterscotch and a short bitter finish. Ok.
