Description Rich, dark and full of malt flavours, this black bitter owes its characteristics to the large amount of chocolate malt giving it a velvety smooth rich coffee finish. No aroma hops are added to this beer, instead seven types of grain are used to develop the flavour. Cask at GBBF08. OK roasted aroma. Very dark brown colour, very small tan head. Roasted flavour, but quite mild at the beginning. Turns more citric towards the end.

Cask gravity at Ealing BF 2008. Clear dark reddy brown, thin beige head. Eggy yeast. Some fruit, damson/cherry. Some good choc. Juicy and grainy. Slightly farty which puts me off, not that good and I think I poured some away.

A Mes rate: Gravicask at Ealing Beer Festival.
Clear dark brown with a good off white head. Good roasted malt aroma with hints of fruit and a slight smokyness. A lovely sugary note in the flavour with some excellent roasty malt, really nice chocolate, slight liquorice and a good fruity chocolate finish. Quite dry. Rather tasty.
