16 ounce can. Caramel sweet, grassy hops, citrus/floral/pine h hops as well. To sweet for me,I enjoy IPAs that have less caramel character.

Simcoe and Amarillo hops!!!! The Aroma is outstanding. I would call this a lite version of Surly Furious
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 CanIHave4Beers (2097) - Des Moines, Iowa, USA - DEC 15, 2011
Pours a reddish orange color with a big off white head that leaves good lacing on the glass.
The aroma is sweet, malty, and bready. Blindfolded I would have guessed this as a Helles. It’s not bad smelling, it just has basically no hop expression in the aroma which is really quite weird for an IPA.
The flavor is good, and thankfully tastes like an IPA. There are lots of grassy hops and the beer is moderately bitter. The beer is fairly dry and has a little bit of toasty malt character. Some spicier hops show up as it warms. Overall it tastes just a little dirty.
The Palate is nice, the beer is full bodied but sharp and bubbly as well.
This is enjoyable but I’m wondering if I’m experiencing some "can variation" as I frequently have with Redband Stout.

Pours beautiful. Nice Head. Slightly subdued aroma. Mouthfeel is nice. Strong showing of the 70 IBUs in this. Lingering bitterness but light. Nice carbonation. long finish. A nice solid IPA. Hilarious that is says "Please hunt responsibly" on the can. Maybe they should make a black IPA and call it...well you get the point.

Canned at Davenport location. Dark orange with a giant creamy tan head. Great apricot, grapefruit and black pepper nose was very pleasant but a little subdued under the thick head. Moderately bitter, lightly sweet flavor with light grapefruit atop moderate toasted malts. Piney lingering finish. A nicely balanced IPA.

Pours a slightly hazy dark amber with a fluffy, beige 2 finger head that has great retention and leaves nice lacing.. Aroma is pine, citrus rind, dark caramel, a little toffee and some generally fruity undertones. Flavor is caramel, sweet (crystal-ish) malt, more nondescript fruity notes, cereal grain, toasted nuts, bitter grapefruit and pine along with some spicy hops finish it out. Palate is on the lighter side of medium bodied, creamy and a little slick on entry, lightly carbonated, maybe a little too lightly, and dry on the finish, Pretty solid IPA overall, though I think a little more hop aroma and flavor would compliment the spicy hops and lingering bitterness.

Can. I had this one before when brewed at Old Cap. However, this newer version is higher abv since the law change in Iowa. Pretty similar in character otherwise and I gave about the same rating. A rich copper colored brew with a dense light khaki head. The nose has some sweet grapefruit along with a little bit of caramel. There is also toast and dusty almonds. The taste has toasted almonds with a hoppy grapefruit finish. There is also a dusty book character throughout. Actually this is pretty good and nice to be canned.

UPDATED: NOV 27, 2011 Can at Great River on Nov. 26, 2011. Clear orange pour with a nice clingy head. Aroma and taste of citrus and grapefruit. Really good brew.

Dry pine and citrus in the aroma. The flavor is piney/hoppy with grapefruit and a bit of citrus, with a dry finish. A solid IPA, although a horrible name for an ale.

UPDATED: DEC 21, 2011 Big cock has a big head too,2 1/2 girth. You get that good fluffy marshmellowy pillowy head also. Their cans are great for appearance.Heavy lacing, lots of herbal earth, grassy hops/fresh mineral water.Nice reddish orange dark copper but kinda sunburst.
Very strong herbal earthy grassy bittering that fluccuates strongly with its hop flavor, there is a mild sweetness in malt and even some burnt carmel notes/ but could just be the bittering, but hop flavor overwhelmingly takes over then the bittering. This is heavily hop flavored/bittered.
Good body, some malt chewyness, decent smooth creamyness nice initial mild sweetness, massive herbal hopping.A bit one dimensional in hopping and maybe not my favorite hops but still a very good ipa.It does have a ton of grapefruit on the bittering finish. The thing i like about GRB cans,is that the head is always creamy, with a creamy finish
They definatly stepped up to the plate with this big bold beer-well done.Lets see more great beer.
I hope they keep putting out these limited cans for their better brews, i definatly would like to see their brown ale in a can especially in the fall that is great on tap! Good organic brews are far and few.
