Pour is a dark red with a average white head. Aroma is very sweet but has enough hops. Flavor is again sweet malts are the first thing I get. Some hops eventually show up. Very heavy and sweet with a bit of alcohol showing up. This was just ok.

On tap. Decent if not subdued version of an IPA. I suspect there’s some non-standard ingredients that are going on here that I can’t quite put my finger on though

16oz tallboy can from jcwatts, thanks John. Poured a nice looking orangey/amber body with a smaller to average sized slightly foamy off whtie head. Aroma is more malty then hoppy overall, notes of chcolate and caramel malts, toast, some tosted grains, earthy citrus rinds and rotting citrus meat. Palate is decent with a medium body and lots of carbonation that finishes slightly on the fizzy side with lingering bubbles. Flavor of seltzer, old toast, grains, cereal bran, dry citrus rind and old orange pulp mixed with earth. This was a let down compared to the other GRB beers I trieed.

Whenever I go to Davenport Iowa I like to grab myself a Big Cock. The fresh fruity hops make me feel like a young man again. If you ever find yourself in Davenport, don’t be shy. You might think you don’t want a Big Cock, but once it hits your lips, you know you’ve made the right decision.

Pours a light brown with malty aroma, malty characteristic up front with a piney hop finish. Not overwhelming but drinkable

Location: Can at Paul’s Blind Impy Stout Tasting, 1/5/13
Aroma: The nose is resiny hops hops, with some pine and citrus
Appearance: Pours a caramel-orange color with a small head and drippy lace
Flavor: The taste is a bit sweet, mostly hoppy, nicely resiny flavor
Palate: The body is medium, leaning a touch light, with a smooth, clean feel
Overall Impression:
I thought this was surprisingly nice IPA with a really solid resiny feel to it. It was much better then I expected when I first saw the can. It was also a much need hop hit in the mists of an Imperial Stout tasting. Finally, it helps my tick the state of Iowa. All-in-all, a success canned IPA.

Can at Paul’s for the Blind Stout tasting. Pours a clear orange gold with a thin white head. Big heavy citrus and sweet malt on the nose. Big and spicy bitter hops right away, toast and cocoa. Lots of pungent citrus into the finish. Easy drinking, and on a day full of stouts, a nice change of pace.

12/27/12. 16oz can. Big Cock... good one. Hazed amber pour with a big fluffy khaki head that lasts for quite awhile and laces a bit. Bitter, dank medicinal hop aroma with lots of sweet caramel in there. Similarly bitter, dank, almost medicinal hop flavor with some decent underlying citrus character in there, but it’s hard to find between the overloaded caramel and other aspects. Eh.
