UPDATED: SEP 27, 2012 Tried again in a can, it was better than tap. A smoother brew with more toffee sweetness and still that sweet peanut finish. Tap at The Library DM. Rich copper body with a thin light off white head. Nose of toffe and black tea. There is also some toast and peanuts. This is roasted in the finish with some cola sweetness. Decent.

Poured froam a 16 ounce can a light caramel color with a fair amount of carboation. Aroma of caramel, sweet grains, and a touch of yeast. Flavor is much the same, widue to the moderate carbonation it was a crisp to the palate.

Can to mug (thanks DalzAle). Pours clear copper with a foamy off white head that settles to a film. Aroma is spice and malt and pepper. Taste is caramel and malty with clean spices and not overpowering. Palate is medium and chaulky with a dry finish. Decent!

Can. Clear copper pour, little carbonation and a slightly sweet and malty aroma. Flavor is also a good malt base, rich and nutty and finished crisp with a little subtle hops. Nice enjoyable Marzen!

deep orange/copper color, clear, moderate carbonation with a thin white head. light bready malts in the aroma. flavor profile has bread and toast in the finish. there are very light notes of caramel in the flavor as well. very light-bodied, but not bad. Stopped by the brewery yesterday hoping that they had it on tap, but alas, only in the can...which I can get at the grocery store for a lot less.

Malts and bread in the aroma. The flavor is malty and balanced with a hint of fruit. Not a flavor explosion but a very easy drinking Oktoberfest that is decent in all the right areas.

UPDATED: OCT 2, 2012 Poured from a pint can- a crystal clear very shiney coppery orange golden color. 3 finger head lots of carbonation, tiny bubbles all the way to the finish with a lasting creamy white head with decending lacing. Aroma of mild sweet caramel/grain and fresh yeast with a similar mineral type smell found in most of their cans.Smooth ,clean and not too sweet light caramel with a touch of roast a little bit of citrus with a quenching drinkability.Clean malt finish with fresh yeast and a bit of citrus hop with a very light fruitness. I found this better than a majority of some of the bigger craft beers’ octoberfests.Very good drinkability and a good all around beer to have anytime. 2012- more carmelly sweet with more tang, like I seen in their copper ale this year also, still good not as good as was.Kind of an oaky/bourbon tart sour/funk character that is like the copper this time. Seems they are barell aging them, not bad but a bit distracting some in an ok kind of way.
