3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Can. Pours pitch opaque black with a medium brown head that dissipates with nice lacing. Aroma is coffee and dark roasted malt. Flavor its the same, medium sweet, light sourness that eventually becomes a bit offputting. Medium body.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Thanks Olivia for the can.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a hazy brown color with a one finger white to off white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute. There was some light speckled lacing here and there in a messy sort of way.
The smell had some light crisp roasty coffee to some light sweet chocolate.
The taste was mainly sweet and tried to hold a respectable roastiness but somehow through this flavoring it seemed like it just wasn’t balanced enough.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was somewhat subdued and gave off a clear crisp sweetness rolling over my tongue.
Overall, kinda weird as a stout - I’m not used to having a stout of this nature. Would I have it again? Maybe...

Can, probably from Pepsican. Poured into a snifter. Light brown head that dies almost immediately. Aroma is moderate roast and coffee bean. Taste is watery and burnt. Full of acrid sharpness. gawd I can’t drink this.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
16 oz can purchased at the brewery. Black appearance with a fully diminshing head. Strong fresh coffee and espresso aroma. Similar flavor adding light chocolate, roasted malts and earthy bitter hops. Average body, a little thin and watery with soft carbonation.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours black with a tan head. The coffee is present in the aroma along with a hint of chocolate and some roasted barley. The flavor is sweet to start with the coffee coming through. Well balanced and very smooth.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
A black stout with a couple fingers of light mocha foam and a decent lace. Smells like coffee - serious amounts of coffee. There are hints of malt, but not particularly pronounced, mostly the smell of coffee. The taste follows a bit of a different route, the coffee is more complimentary than dictatorial. There are tones of chocolate, toasted malts, some hints of oxidation, and a creamy flavor as well. This is well done in the flavor department. Medium bodied with a sincerely dry finish - surprisingly, this feels right.
A deceptive beer up front with the nose, but converges into a really nice beer. As it warms, it grows on me and as I enjoy it, the nose seems less important. If they adjusted the aromas for more interaction, I would argue this would be a world class coffee stout. Really a beer worth seeking and I plan to place on my wants list for a second round.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
16oz can from Breeze Thru. Pours a very dark brown with a rapidly disappearing tan head leaving almost no lacing. Aroma has coffee. And coffee. Faintly some caramel. Taste is of sweet caramel, bitter espresso, and loads of roast. Medium to full bodied. Very bittersweet in that great way of a coffee stout. Subtle hints of lactose, but pretty much a straight strong coffee stout. Not a lot of depth and quite one-dimensional, but if you are going to pick a dimension, "overstrong-coffee" stout is a good one.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours dark brown from can. Nose is has some malt but is dominant with coffee. Almost tastes like carbinated coffee. If you like coffee, this is a lighter beer for you. Nice.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Can from Johns Grocery. Pours black with a thin khaki head. Leaves a little bit of lacing. There’s some roasted coffee notes on the nose but you really have to hunt for them. A little thin on the tongue. A little bit of rot on the tongue with a fair amount of bitterness on the finish. The finish may be the most interesting thing about this beer.
