COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We love our local roasterís New Orleans Iced Coffee so much we decided to use their beans in our brew. Redband Stout is made with Indonesian and Ethiopian beans using our 18-hour cold brew extraction method, resulting in a satisfying brew with intense coffee aromatics. The marriage of two of our favorite beverages.

If you like coffee stouts this beer is where itís at. One of the most popular beers at a tasting event a few moths ago. Recently bought a 4pk/cans and enjoyed. Very robust coffee aroma and taste, but not overpowering. Nothing but good things to say about this beer! Wish I could find it on tap!

the best of both worlds! the coffee flavor in this beer is so strong almost overpowering but in a good way. good body not extreamly thick but still thick enough for a stout . has a good creamy texture apparent. anyone who loves coffee and beer has to try this!! best coffee beer iíve had yet!

One of my favorite beers. Coffee flavor complements the stout but is not overpowering.

Can. A - Dark brown close to black with a smallish foamy, bubbly, light, cafe colored head. Decent retention leaving patchy lace. Looks a lot like coffee. Looks pretty thick on the pour. S - First whiff made me check that I didnít pour a can of coffee in my glass. Strong freshly brewed coffee aroma. In the back and with other sniffs, there is coffee bean/freshly ground coffee, touches of lactose sweetness, hints of cocoa and roasted malt. T - Again, this is very strong on the coffee flavor, but the background flavors are stronger and better integrated than in the smell. Mocha with a stronger black coffee presence are the biggest flavors. Dark chocolate and hints of lactose/cream, and espresso flavors. Slightly bitter dark cocoa in the end. Lacks any of the bitter astringent coffee flavors you can get in a lot of coffee stouts. Very much like a nice iced coffee. M - Full side of medium body. Good carbonation with a slick and slightly viscous feel. Very nice. D - Very easy to drink. Not bitter and not too sweet. Flavors mix very well and everything is well incorporated. Could drink a number of these easily. Notes: If you like coffee, youíll love this. Wow. This is a great coffee stout. It may be a little strong on the coffee and youíll forget you are drinking beer and think you are drinking an iced coffee, but it is delicious none the less. Completely devoid of the bitter astringency I get in some coffee beers. Just wonderful overall. Recommend getting this. Iíll definitely being picking up more while Iím still in Iowa.

16 ounce can. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good. Wow, you can tell from the aroma that this is a coffee beer. It smells mostly like coffee, and also some roasted malt and bittersweet chocolate. Taste is similar to the aroma, itís mostly coffee, but thereís also some roasted malt, milk chocolate and bittersweet chocolate flavors noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is medium, itís creamy and itís very easy to drink. Moderate carbonation. I think this is a pretty good brew, I liked it a lot. If you like coffee beers, then youíll probably like this one. Definitely worth trying!

Tap at the pub. Pours a very dark brown to heavy black. Nice warm coffee aroma. Warm roasted malts with a light edge of chocolate. Very nice. Slick mouthfeel. Taste is sweet coffee with the bitter ground that comes along with it. Fantastic and very tasty.

16 oz. can. Wow is this a black and thick pour! A funky dark brown head that is very unique. It slowly fades. I score it a 4 because it isnít quite a 5, but it is a fairly high 4. A big nose of coffee with some chocolate. The flavor begins with coffee and berries. Bitterness soon settles in. That bitterness is from both the coffee and from some overwhelmed hops. A dash of raisin comes and goes. An active feel. If there were a category for imperial coffees this one might qualify. It is really good. Hopefully cbfobes will give it another try. This beer is good, damned good. Who are these guys?

This was a 16 oz. can courtesy of Strykzone. Poured very creamy and black and raised a tan head that left lacing like dark glue. Nose is chocolate and coffee roasted malts. Heavy body and a slick mouthfeel. The flavor is strong with coffee, chocolate, and ripe fruit. Long bitter finish. Simply outstanding.

Very proud of this fantastic Iowa brew! This coffee stout pour a dark black, with a nice brown/tan head. Definitely could float a bottle cap on it. Aroma of coffee, sugar, and malts. Flavor is very similar, bitterness from the coffee and a little sweetness to round it out. Very impressive beer; always in my fridge.

Very nice -- I'm always impressed with flavorful low ABV stouts for some reason. Strong stout aroma after a froth less pour. Quite roasty malt flavors. Very strong roasty coffee notes. Recommended! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
