Pours a reddish brown color with a medium head and some lace. The flavor is fruity and floral with some wood. The flavor is cherry and apple with a mild alcohol and plenty of vanilla. The Templeton barrel pretty much dominates this beer without being way tasting like watered down Whiskey, I’d have liked it if more of the Oktoberfest shined through but this is really very tasty.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Brownish red pour with a nice sized off white head. Aroma is vanilla, caramel, and wood. Flavor is up front vanilla and caramel, with some nice rye and spice notes cutting through the sweetness to balance it out. Finish has a light alcohol kick with good carbonation. Not bad at all.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at Old Capitol Brew Works. Poured a clear reddish orange color with an off white head. Smelled of caramel, subdued toffee, and vanilla. Not much märzen under there. Medium bodied and slightly sweet. A bit sticky in the mouth with the flavor following the nose. Lots of barrel, less beer. Good though.
